About Me
Hi Welcome to my place, from where you're sitting you can only see what I allow you to see, or perhaps what you think you can glean when you read between the lines.
Single, and happily so. Child is out of school, and only occasionally stops by to say hi, and "Dad, can I have?"
So we sit here and try to figure out who we are when all the People, places, things, times, and events that defined us in the past have changed.
If you're like me you look up at the suggestion list of things to talk about, and you think - Hobbies? "We don't need no stinking hobbies", but yeah, I like to golf, movies, read, yard sale, travel (sometimes wherever the whim takes us can be the most exciting), and explore. The last one means I'm open to new definitions. Yea, I could revert to past hobbies; hunting, fishing, softball - - - bars, fast cars and, something that rhymes with - ah, movie stars, but, yea - not so much.
I have a BA in psy from TESC, but with an emphasis in health, genetics and neurology. Half way to a Chiropractor, but that may change as I really have an interest in brains - not like, perhaps a zombie would, rather more like neuro-science. I'm waiting on that, Please don't ask why - not sure. So right now I am primarily a maintenance guy, repairs, remodels, stay pretty busy, Oh an I used to own a carpet cleaning business - so I still do that occasionally.
Personality type, I'm laid back, except when I'm not :=) I like watching sports, well pretty much football and an occasional baseball game. I like to dance, but frankly I haven't been in years - funny how that happened. I have a canoe that I've gotten wet once - and that is a shame. I've worked at many different vocations over the years, but one of the ones I liked the best was working on a farm, it felt right.
I have a definete spiritual inclination, and tend to trust that part of me. I respect those that adhere to an organized religion, but jus' don't rightly think I can see myself sitting in no pew there mame. To each there own as they say.
I have opinions on politics, culture, social dogmas, and I like children, animals, the smell of rain, and fall in the air, moonlite nights (and walks therein), and well, someone to share them with.
The list up there says talk about my taste in music. Well back in the day, I had a classical upbringing, so classic rock, does that count? A wide variety, from classical to rock, to hip hop (Daughters influence, curse her) and yes Doris, even some country. (My sister would be so proud) I even like karaoke - I'm not proud.
