About Me
I am an academic nerd and, even though it makes me sound like even more like a nerd, I love learning. Currently, I am a Clinical Psychology student completing my Master's degree at UVic. Which brings me to my hobbies - reading endless textbooks, studying, learning how the brain works, and trying to figure out human behavior. No Big D.
Outside of school, I enjoy Yoga to keep me grounded and socializing with friends. I thrive off of human interaction - there is something wonderful about friends who make you laugh & smile. I am a sucker for a good story. I am also a sucker for dancing...
I love music - electronic music to be exact, though I am always open to hearing new genres and styles of music. Deep bass is the secret that'll coerce my bones to start flailing, regardless of where I am! I believe that music is the gateway into one's deepest emotions. It is the simple process of transduction - pulsing air waves pounding on our ear drum - which creates electrical messages through neural circuitry and manifests our perception of music and melodies. A beautiful process.
Given that I spend more time at school than I would at a full-time job, I have come to enjoy the bold flavor of coffee. That, and many great conversations and memories have been shared over a (soy) latte.
I will be honest, I am looking for friends here in the city of Victoria. I have a wonderful boyfriend of 4+ years. Having friends outside of my relationship, however, keep my relationship even stronger. I moved here for school and given that I live a secluded life within school, I am finding it difficult to make other gay friends. I am on the hunt for someone(s) with whom I can share a latte or martini (or beer..), get advice whilst shopping (I love fashion - vintage and new), and motivate me to try new things (or keep up with my old things - gym, yoga, etc etc). I like to do things outside - throw a frizbe, lounge on a beach, bike or whatever else to enjoy the sunshine.
