About Me
Hey there, welcome to my little corner of the internet.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my profile. I guess I'll get right down to who I am on the surface:
I'm 5'4", 26 years old, 160lbs and live in Kitsilano with my best friend. I'm currently taking the year off of school to build up my application for the dietetics program at UBC. I spend my time volunteering for St. Paul's Hospital, the Salvation Army's food line and rehab centre, and teaching nutrition workshops at elementary schools. I also just got a job as a dietary aide at VGH (I'm super excited) and have this feeling like things are really looking up in the pursuit of my dream career and it's pretty fulfilling.
I enjoy playing tennis, dancing salsa, jogging and hiking. When I'm feeling more like relaxing, I love to cook (chopping veggies is my therapy), read, watch a movie, go for a walk on kits beach, or just call up a friend to talk about our day. In my more creative moods, I'll sculpt, draw, or paint, and develop new recipes to experiment with in my kitchen.
I have a very supportive social and family network and they always top my list of priorities.
A couple more things about me I'd like to share:
I’m VERY affectionate.
I like smart guys…Big words are sexy ;)
I'm warm and caring and enjoy the typical "female endeavors" like doing my hair, crying over nothing, and watching chick flicks, but I like to get out and roll around in the dirt every once in a while too.
I've got a pretty good idea of what I want in life and in my relationships with people, but I'm also flexible, open-minded and adapt well to change.
I'm not afraid of expressing my opinions or of being proven wrong when I do.
I love experiencing new things, especially from different cultures, and really enjoy listening to people talk about things they're passionate about, as long as they're not ignorant.
I don't kill bugs... If you're scared of them, I'll take them outside for you.
I am always trying to improve myself and to embrace the strengths I already have.
If you get to know me and I'm comfortable around you you'll probably notice I'm not always composed and don't always "behave like an adult". I tend to get excited at seemingly unexciting things like a bird flying by or some foreign vegetable I've never seen before. I'm easily amused and entertained, I love to have fun and don't see the need to contain my feelings when they're positive. That's not to be confused with immaturity though; I'm composed when the situation calls for it, I hate playing emotional games and have been told I have a very mature outlook on life and interpersonal relations... I've come to the conclusion that maturity is about knowing when it's okay to let yourself act immature and when it's not and I like to think I live that.
I really hate the idea of wasting someone's time, so I'll just come out and say that I'm not interested in having sex outside of a relationship.
People have asked what I look for in a guy. All physical things aside (excessive weight and balding are turn-offs... sorry), all I want is a guy who's considerate, reliable, genuinely enjoys life and loves to laugh. I'd like to be with someone who knows what it takes to make a relationship successful - mutual attraction, intimacy, communication and laughter - and is more than happy to match my efforts.
If that sounds anything like you and you'd like to spend a bit of time learning more about me, I'd love to hear from you. I'm not looking for anything serious from the start... I prefer to let things develop naturally if they will.
Thanks for reading! :D

First Date
I'd rather not call it a date...puts too much pressure on both parties, especially if there isn't chemistry. I'd like to meet up for hot chocolate then go for a walk, or something casual like that where we could talk and interact without any expectations.
