About Me
UPDATE: If you don't hunt, just save yourself the time and move on to the next guy. Seriously.

Please move along if you meet any of these criteria:
1. You're a Democrat.
2. You've ever voted for a Democrat.
3. You hate guns.
4. You hate hunters.
5. You support killing unborn children.
6. You have at least one tattoo.
7. You ever used drugs for recreational purposes.
What I would like to find is a tall, slender, non-smoking Republican woman, 46 or younger and in good health, who believes in God, likes guns and hunting, and hasn't sold out her country. If these things describe you, drop me a line. (If you're a bit on the short side but you can handle a Winchester pretty well... I'll cut you some slack on the "tall" part.)
I'm ultra-conservative in my politics, I'm patriotic, I enjoy cowboy action shooting, I like hunting (my work schedule seems to interfere with my hunting schedule, though), I believe in God, I don't use drugs for recreational purposes (and never have), I'm not a gambler, and I like puppies, kittens, and children. Also, while shooting and hunting are big parts of my life, this doesn't mean I don't have a taste for -- and an appreciation of --cultural endeavors. I'm not a stranger to museums, libraries, book stores, symphony concerts, and so forth. I just wanted there to be some clarity on these points. There are a lot of things I would probably do with the right companion.
I have a B.A. in psychology, I retired as a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve (15 Mar 10) after 28 years of service and two tours of Iraq (2003-2004, 2007-2008), I'm a GS-12 in my government job (I'm not with the GSA and I've never been to Vegas, honest), I don't use drugs to escape reality, and I don't gamble. Truthfully, I think I'm an upstanding guy with several decent selling points. On the other hand, if you're into tattooed biker dudes, I'm not one of them. I read and write equally well and, on a good day, I can even chew bubble gum and walk at the same time.
While in the Army Reserve, I traveled to Germany, France, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Kuwait, and Iraq. I've hunted in a number of Canadian provinces: caribou in Quebec; black bear in Ontario, Manitoba, and Newfoundland. In America, I've hunted black bear in Arizona, Maine, and Idaho; elk in Montana and Idaho; wild boar in Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa; mule deer in Montana; bison in Nebraska and Kansas; whitetail deer in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Kentucky; and brown bear in Alaska. I've done one safari (so far?) in Tanzania, for Cape buffalo, zebra, hartebeest, and impala. I've seen a lot of beautiful sights and I hope to see many more; if you're a huntress, maybe you'd like to come along.
Friends and coworkers would probably tell you I'm intelligent and fun... but I'm not sure you should put much weight in their assessment. I mean, really, don't friends always say things like that?
My Lab is an excellent judge of character so, if she likes you, that would be a big point in your favor.
