About Me
I am not as cool as my profile seems and life's too short to have just online relationships, if you like my profile and want to meet me, send me a message and let me know. I'm pretty burned out on writing intelligent messages just to not receive a response.
PET PEEVES:
1. People that do not read the blue box and do not ask, but tell me what to do in response to an event announcement.
2. People that read the email (direct emails not those with an event notice banner at the top) you send them and don't respond... Not even a "No Thank You" I guess that is today's common non-courtesy. This includes those who delete emails unread...
3. Why would someone have a picture on a dating website in their wedding gown?
4. How about those people that take their picture in the mirror? Do you not have a single friend to take your picture? Can you not figure out how to set the camera's shutter delay"?
5. Initial emails that have no real content. "Hi" is not an icebreaker.
6. Women that put "Just ask" in their "Interests" and "About Me" fields,isn't your profile supposed to tell us about yourself so we don't have to ask?
7. Profiles that say "I'm just a normal girl", forget that tell us what makes you extraordinary. Who are you and what makes you tick?
ARE YOU HIDING?:
People without a photo or a dark, distant, out of focus, old and other non-true to life photos on your profile, might be hiding from something, I can only assume that you are in a relationship.
ON WITH THE SHOW:
Let's start off with the "I Am Looking for..." category, ultimately it's long term and starting a family, however you have to start off with dating. At my age a woman with a ticking biological clock (time bombs need not apply) seems to fit the bill, however like many guys I am not opposed to someone that is 20 years younger, unlike most wanting kids seems to be a more valid reason than arm candy. In fact she doesn’t have to be beautiful, just beautiful to me. I have always wanted to raise a family, however most of my relationships have been with current mothers, those with and without children. When I was young I set parameters for when to have kids and on that list was to be independently wealthy, Since my net worth is nowhere close to $100 million I have eliminated that criteria. If I wait much longer I am afraid that I will be placed from the “keepers list" to the “creepers list". My ideal mate will have to captivate me! Believe me trying too hard is not good, so be yourself and let what makes you beautiful shine through!
In my efforts to find the perfect woman I have hosted events here on POF, however recently most attendees are those that are 40 and over. This age group was raised before the information age when going out was the only way to meet people. However most people in this age group are past wanting to start as family so this is not working for me.
I have a full set of teeth! I like to do fun things and listen to good music is that ambiguous enough? Also if you want me to add you as a friend I have to have met you more than once and still like you. So if we have never met and I won't add you don't be offended.
Since many women that have read my profile before meeting me mentioned that I sound like a partier, I have to make the statement that I am more of a socialite than a partier. I need to keep busy, currently my main goal is to start a small organic and Aquaponic farm for sustainability, health and profit.
I have made my own wine and plan to do more of it once I establish my farm. I was born and raise in one of the original 13 states; I enjoy history and historic events however it's not something that I want to talk about all day since it has it's time and place. I enjoy playing with my words, see the last sentence of my profile. I have biked, hiked and canoed the entire length of the C&O canal. One of my aspirations is to hike the entire Appalachian Trail, it should take about 3 months.
I am always willing to share what I know and learn something new.
All of my photos are have dates on them so you know which ones are 5 years old or taken last week. I know this doesn't allow you to see how I looked 20 years ago. Let me know what you think of them and which is the best.
Throughout the 80's and 90's I pushed for more people to be technology literate, now people rather TXT than have a live conversation, I never thought that real live human contact would become so distant.
Leave your baggage behind and enjoy the journey through life. Make the best of any situation, if you need to complain about minor setbacks then you will probably never achieve any major accomplishments. Enjoy life’s rich journey! I live by the concept of Kaizen, there's no sense in not consistently improving.

First Date
A movie? Yea, that's a great way to get to know someone, it's almost as good as sitting at home alone. How about meeting at a social event? You know like the ones I host, cookouts, bowling, holiday parties, I am sure I can come up with a valid holiday for every week of the year. That way if we don't hit it off then you are free to mingle with others. I am at a point where I don't want to just settle, I deserve the best and so do you. So don't be offended if we are just friends, can you have enough of those?

Through regularly attending the games I valued his selfless care put into those events. I am privileged to have him in my circle of friends. He is honest, fair-game, intelligent, reliable, also funny, and cares about others. Most of all he is a very good human being and deserves happiness.
