About Me
So, here's a little about me: I have fairly classic features. Many have said I have the
"All-American" look. Best features are arms, hair, and butt...or so I'm told (and ok, sure). I dress modern, casual. I'm a bit of a romantic...ok, a bit more than a bit, kinda deep, kinda sensitive, kinda...kind, creative, artistic, passionate, curious, strong...but big-hearted, reflective, quiet, friendly, compassionate, caring, and an overall good person - or so I'm told. Now, if you ask me why someone like that would be 6', 200lbs, with unusual ahtleticism, I couldn't begin to tell you...nature's irony I guess. I know it seems to frustrate the heck out of a lot of guys I've played sports with though. Here's the skinny on me: I'm 6', 195lbs, fit, well educated, financially independent, have and love my two cats, and love to cook for people. I tend to be insightful, passionate, and caring but also cautious, reflective and introspective. I'm genuine, loyal, authentic, talented... My passions are singing, dancing, and acting - pretty much in that order. Indulging in these regularly gives my life meaning and purpose and I don't think I could live without 'em.
To me, intimacy equals authenticity. So, having said that, here are a few, kinda, related things I'm looking for in someone: she has a fairly stable and consistent work history, isn't addicted to substances or people (past or present people), can speak emphatically and freely about her opinions and perspectives. I've met one woman, only one, who had the courage to make the first move. Actually, it scared the heck out of me at the time because I was with my fraternity brothers, but when the initial shock wore off, I realized that not only did I like being approached by a woman, I actually preferred it and, likely, the woman doing it. So, I like someone who has the courage to break with convention, is strong, a tomboy, career driven (family receptive but not so family motivated), possibly a feminist, probably relates to and hangs out more with guys, maybe likes to travel abroad by
herself, maybe plays sports (softball, soccer, football, etc), is well educated or intends to be, probably doesn't fit in with typical women, and ideally, has, or is interested in some kind of regular spiritual practice.
Anyway, take a chance, make a
move. You won't die and you know at least one guy out there
who actually appreciates it and won't think you're too
forward. In fact, I think it's really endearing.
