"About me", you say? Hmmmm...
Alright, well, I've never met a mom who didn't love me, or dad who didn't respect me. I'm sensitive enough to cry when Bruce Willis saves Ben Affleck in Armageddon and I cuddle, but I also play tackle sports and eat my steak bloody.
What am I up to these days you ask? Well, after three years of working/living abroad and travel in general (Jordan, Spain, Turkey, Israel, Morocco, Korea and India) I've come home to Toronto to become a high school teacher.
Yes, it's true -- I enjoyed high school enough that I'm planning on making a career out of it. I'm at OISE (U of T's Teacher's College) specializing in Inner-City Education.
What else? I love music - particularly partial to any tunes that exude dirt, sweat, and general bad intentions; I also DJ (like with turntables and records, not iPods and iPods) and play guitar. I love to read - I am fiercely proud of my library. I love being active - I work out regularly. I love my family - two sisters (one older, one younger) and two happily married idiosyncratic parents. I love my friends - a small but great crew of brothers from different mothers, who are arguably the funniest b*stards in Toronto. And I love life. Really; it's not half bad I tell ya'.
Looking for a partner in crime: Ideally, you read at a college level, can leave a crowd laughing, and look good in a black strapless and some pumps, in addition to sweats and slippers. You like your independence, but you'd like it if I called you at the end of the day to see how you're doing. You think about your life and how you can improve it, but you generally enjoy the one you have now. You enjoy both fine cinema and Jerry Bruckheimer movies. You get excited at the prospect of Hot and Sour soup, or dipping your Wendy's fries in your Frosty. You enjoyed watching Sex and the City, but like that I didn't. Your idea of ideally spent vacation time includes both lounging on the couch to watch a season of some worthy HBO show, and backpacking across Argentina (and/or many other a foreign nation). And you don't mind going out once in a while to cut a rug. If this sounds like you, drop me a line.
So in conclusion: don't be shy; holler at me. Bet I make you laugh...
