About Me
Well, I guess I should update my profile. I'm taking a break (we'll see for how long) while I take a chance on starting something new and wonderful with a friend who recently confessed his interest in me and seeing if we could make a go of it. Wish me luck folks!

This section is "a work in progress" ... I keep coming back to it and adding little bits.
Now how to describe myself? Hmmmm, well, I guess I would have to start with saying that I can sometimes come across as a little shy at first, depending on the setting, but then I can also just jump right in and go for it! I'm one of those types that has no fear of public displays of affection - ask any of my friends!!
I like to keep active and am looking for someone who's of the same frame of mind. Not that I'm a health nut who doesn't indulge every once in awhile is something sinful to eat or avoid having one of those afternoons/nights of just curling up on the couch to watch tv or a few movies and just vegetate!
Weaknesses: martial arts movies, cute smiles, retro music, sushi, dim sum, orchids, my Pentax K1000.
I have a creative side to me as well - I've had a couple solo photography shows and had a chance to display my work in the 2009 Contact show with a day of my shots on the TTC subway displays! I also had the opportunity to show last year at Nuit Blanche with a couple of friends at the 401 Richmond. I also make some of my own clothes and jewellery and like to do a lot of other crafty/artsy projects. I have a pretty eclectic music collection - from disco to 50's swing music to international sounds - if it makes me move my feet, I like it!
I love living in Toronto because it is a great city for all its diversity of cultures and ethnicities. There's always something cool to see or do.
I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for here .... but I guess I'll figure that out along the way. I am an optimistic person that knows that the right person is out there for me. Ultimately, I want what a lot of people want - to meet someone that I can connect with on many different levels, mentally, emotionally and physically. I know that I've indicated "hang out" under what I am looking for but since that's how a relationship begins, I thought I'd start from the beginning.
As a cool (and sexy!) man of our time once said:

I think that is a *perfect* way to describe a great relationship and what I'd love to strive for!

First Date
Hmmm ... that always depends on the person and your common interests. I've gone on dates where we went for the traditional coffee/drink and then I've had a date where we went for sushi and then to a yoga class together. That was really cool! I have no objection to having a first date that might involve getting dirty ... and by that I mean, hiking, playing sports, etc.
