About Me
How many times have you woken up and prayed for the rain?
Been a serving soldier for close on 21 years and am currently working within an operational training unit.
That said i want to make it clear i aint interested in anyone who is in ANY of the part time reserves. Please all you weekend Walts...Dont bother contacting me cos i aint interested in any of you.
Had a bad accident at work july '09 which resulted in injuries that kept out of the loop until December last year..... back on light duties.
Keen motorcyclist, into parachuting with over 670 jumps to date...mainly civ AFF but close on 100 jumps with the Army...up to my accident i was a part time weekend instructor with the APA at Netheravon but thats on the back boiler now.
Dad to two fantastic children who are both at Leeds Uni....and yes they both live at home with me....still!
Music has a big part in my life...its kept me going when ive been to some very dark and lonely places... I play guitar both acoustic an bass and will on occasion have a crack at lead.
Running...yes i love running an to date have completed 31 first class marathons with a best personal time of 2hrs 51m...was hoping to do the USMC in Arlington VA this year for the fifth time but thats on hold till my leg regains sufficent strength. Please note im not looking for a running partner...cos you wont keep up and i prefer to run on my own.
Have travelled most of Europe on my bike and im hoping to one day ride coast to coast in the US.
Gained a first class degree(yes a real degree unlike some out there) @ KCL a while back which will help me when i eventually leave the forces.
Fluent in French, German an with a good working knowledge of Spanish (blame my ex wife for all that lot)...can also hold my own in Pashtun.
Ladies.... Do we really need to see pics of cars, cats, dogs (usually of the council estate variety) and other non relevant nonsense on your profile.... Like wise pics in pub toilets....truly gross!
