About Me
If you are here to actually make a date and meet real people, welcome to my profile. I'm not here just to chat, I like to meet people. Oh and NO PIC NO REPLY. I have no interest in married men or those already in relationships, so please don't message me. I'm looking for a man who laughs at everything, knows when to work and when to relax and enjoys the little things life has to offer. I'm not looking for someone who wants to tour the world, or earn loads more money than they could ever spend. More importantly it needs to be someone reliable, intelligent and kind and AROUND MY AGE OR YOUNGER (not interested if you are over 50). I would be a liar if I said looks don't matter, they most certainly do, but I'm often attracted to men who are not traditionally good looking.
I'm a confident, happy woman, with a degree in music. I belong to a choir and I also run a choir. I play a variety of instruments and like writing songs for the children in my choir.
I like to think I have some common sense. I'm not a traditional academic. I used to be able to wire a plug before they were all moulded ones, I know how to refelt my shed roof and put up shelves. I'm definitely not the helpless type.
I am a BIG CURVY woman, and although I am dieting and losing some weight, (it was a bit too good a Christmas) realistically I'm not ever going to be thin....just a bit smaller and a bit healthier.
I teach music and science for a living..yes weird combination I know, but I like both subjects and have interests in many other subjects.
I like theatre and cinema but I'm not a clubber or the type who likes getting drunk in a bar, although I am not teetotal. I think my purpose on this Earth is to be happy and make others happy too. I'm not religious but I think I have a Christian attitude although definitely not the belief in an all powerful god.
I don't shout, whinge, nag, or moan at people or throw things from my pram and I have a naturally steady good mood. Some might see me as boring, but I see being pleasant and polite as normal. I don't tolerate people without manners....they really annoy me. How hard is it to say 'thank you', 'excuse me' or 'sorry'..?
I gave up smoking three years ago and I know I will not return to it. I don't appreciate people who take illegal drugs and I'm no longer interested in anyone who smokes either....sorry but us ex-smokers are over sensitive to the smell and let's be honest...it isn't a pretty smell.
I'm an animal lover and seem to take in little waifs and strays all over the place. I have a rabbit, guinea pigs and the latest addition is two budgies...they peck like hell if you pick them up! I do eat meat on occasion but mostly prefer vegetarian food and I don't eat my pets...(some people do ask some strange questions on here!!) and the rabbit is the type with fur and twitchy whiskers..(yet more rude people asking silly questions).
I don't have any children out of choice. I like them, but couldn't eat a whole one in a single sitting. Ahh come on, I'm a school teacher what did you expect? I love other people's kids though and find them a great source of entertainment.
I drive my own unwashed car, badly, and have a motorbike license, although I don't have a bike anymore..I thought I'd had a nice long run of good luck and didn't want to spoil it.
I like walking (that's normal 'going out for a walk' not walking up Scafell Pike)and swimming and aqua aerobics(just normal 'going to the swimming pool' not training for 100m freestyle in the olympics or sychronised silliness)and I have been known to cycle sometimes too (not the tour de France, just bumping along on a tatty old mountain bike for half an hour or so).
I just bought myself a new telly and a new laptop and I'm getting some of those wireless headphone thingies..now I have no money so there's no point trying to sweeten me up if you're looking for a rich girl..I spend my money. You can't take it with you!!...and please don't take the profile too seriously. I think the healthiest thing for everyone is a damned good laugh.
I just re-wrote my profile thinking I'd make it shorter..but I failed..sorry to those who don't like reading but you wouldn't be right for me anyway as I love reading. I just read a great story about a girl who is haunted by her great aunt..I do believe in ghosts.... so the word 'eccentric' probably describes me.
