I am quirky, have been known to bring a laugh or three to my friends' faces. I'm looking for some fun, a great conversation and a partner in crime. Of course, the most severe crime we might commit would be jaywalking or a little minor trespassing, but I'm sure we could have some darn good nights doing it.
I don't want my life to pass me by and live with regrets. I am not very big on going to clubs, but do enjoy a variety of activities. I'll try just about anything once, and I'm looking for a companion to live life with. I would like to have a travel partner for weekend getaways, a dining partner so that neither of us have to read a book or paper during a dinner out, someone to be a major part of my life. One big bonus would be somebody who wants to travel. I've tried to take a large trip at least once every other year, sometimes alone and sometimes with others. This year I took the longest trip of my life, a 6 month sabbatical jaunt working farms in Europe. It was great fun, and definitely helped to broaden my view of what I can do in this world.
I am not looking for a 'sugar daddy' relationship, but do believe in at least offering to pay for your meal. I think it's a gentlemanly thing to do, and although chivalry may be mostly dead, it's not all dead. I may not be the best dancer in the world, but I'm willing to give it the old college try. What else do you want to know? I'm pretty much an open book. Looking for someone who is established in their life, or at least has an idea of what they want out of this whole messy existence. 5 years on either side of my age would be great, but age is just a number, and you can't judge the content of someone's soul just by how many years they've lived, but the quality of those years.

First Date
For our first date, I would like to just go to a social setting. Somewhere public where there's not a lot of pressure. The dinner & movie combo just doesn't cut it for me as a first date, as a movie just doesn't afford much opportunity for us to talk and get to know one another. Some of my favorite first date activities include a meeting at for a cup of tea or coffee, a couple drinks or perhaps just walking around the park. Of course, what with the hot weather and mosquitoes, the park isn't my first choice for a date in the summertime.
