UPDATE: My photo is now about 7 years out of date ... but I'm allergic to cameras so prefer to be behind the lens than in front of it.
I'm happy spending time with good friends in pleasant/relaxed surroundings, sharing conversation, ideas, interests or discovering new ones. I believe in regretting only those things I've done, not those I haven't. Good conversation on a variety of subjects is important to me, incl current affairs as well as a bit of a laugh.
Reading, listening to my music & singing my heart out. Taking my baby girl to the beach is one of my most pleasurable outdoor pastimes. It would also be good to meet someone who enjoys just reading or playing cards for lazy cold w'ends indoors.
A male friends would have some of the following qualities: be a gentleman who wants to keep his own interests as well as share interests. He'd also be a good communicator, be romantic to a degree. He'd probably be equally comfortable going to the occasional symphony concert (if we had them up here, or just off to Brisbane for the night), live show or theatre. A plus would be someone who enjoys riding a m'bike with a pillion. It would also be nice if he enjoyed a bit of travelling, whether it be local drives, w'ends away, or trips further afield. It would be great if he enjoyed cooking for someone who would top up his wine glass while doing so as I really dislike cooking. :)
I'm currently mainly interested in someone who wants a companion with whom to share outings, concerts, wandering along the beach with a pooch ... or just to share a coffee & a chat.
I'm not too keen on anything permanent at this point of my life, but no one night stands or flings either ... Who knows what could happen if I were to be whisked off into the wide blue yonder - land, sea or sky - by someone pretty special. I believe that life is full of new & unexpected experiences & I've always grabbed new opportunities with both hands as I truly don't want to ever regret the things I didn't do in life. Sure, I've made a few mistakes by living my life this way, but I've also had some amazing experiences! I'd like to think that experience has taught me a few things though. :)
A milkshake or ice-cream while walking along the waters edge would be perfect for first meeting ... or even just walking my pooch along the foreshore.
However, a first date would be something casual like a picnic in the park by the beach ... while possibly listening to some jazz playing in the background & sun on our backs .... This sounds like a pretty decent first date for me ...
