About Me
Briefly, this is who I am and what I'm looking for. I'm single and have no kids. I live in Davis. I have a degree in journalism, but only worked in that "career" as a newspaper reporter for about a year after graduation. It just didn't enjoy it enough to pursue as a full-time occupation. Currently I work as a technical writer.
I consider myself honest, sensitive and caring, but only with people who deserve it. With others, I have learned, sadly, that no good deed goes unpunished. I'm also expressive and believe in open and honest communication. I also have been known to write some pretty long e-mails, too. :) I'm a little shy at times, but when I come out of my shell I can be a really fun person to be around. Sometimes I'm not the quickest wit, but I always love a good joke. I'm also loyal, sensitive, dependable, goal-oriented and considerate. I believe in keeping promises and would like others to do the same.
Some of my hobbies or interests include swimming, biking, walking, tennis, and volleyball and home improvement. Yes, I do know my way around with tools and am pretty handy when it comes to fixing and building things. I also like to cook, and some of my favorites (but not necessarily big successes) are chocolate chip cookies, pizza, lasagna, fajitas, and pesto sauce.
My favorite music is bluegrass and country, although I also like some classical. Playing music is a big part of my life, whether it's acoustic double bass, piano, or my favorite: fiddle.

First Date
My idea of an awesome first date is to meet somewhere for a quiet dinner and casual conversation, just getting to know each other without any pressure or expectations. If we hit it off and there seem to be good vibes, maybe we can find a Krispy Kream Doughnut shot and snarf down a few hot, freshly made glazed doughnuts, after which we could go to a nice secluded spot and have a make out session right there in the car! I love to kiss, so that would be dynamite for me!
