About Me
Blue-eyed BC boy. Born to explore. Heart in the mountains, spirit on the islands, body unleashed on a dance floor; mountain bike; skiis or snowboard. An acquired taste for some, enjoyed by most, not for the faint of heart. Leo/Dragon; "A megalomaniac with a heart of gold." Sounds subtle, eh? Wanna play? You'll want to be quick of mind, fleet of foot, and appreciate the occassional Sunday afternoon nap. Intellectual stimulation is key.
The right connection: spiritually/physically and mostly humorously; can create the future. Looking for a strong, independant, grounded play mate, but not in a rush. Need to find out if we can have simple fun, then go out and have crazy fun, and finally, find out if we enjoy the silences in between, before getting all serious. It really is about the fun... Right? Road Trip anybody?
Attract and attracted to smart, sassy, beautifully vivacious women, between 26 and 35... Drawn to the occasional VERY LOVELY and smart Dragon, Rat, Rooster, Monkey, or Snake closer to my age and usually of the Ariean, Aquarian, Gemini, Leo or Sagittarian ilk. But, there are no fast rules.
AND PLEASE have a photo where your face can clearly be seen. Physical attraction gets me to the spark where interest in your brain starts.
Basic and primal, but true...
You understand; everything in moderation, including moderation.
Pious and Irreverent. I love and value discretion, unless we're leaning towards being outrageous in that moment.
If yer lookin' for normal... you're on the wrong profile... I'm looking for extra-ordinary!!! A couple of friends on FB defined it perfectly:
The thing about being 'different' is that you gain more compassion than people who are 'normal', because 'normal' people often learn to shut out 'different' people, whereas 'different' people often learn (through self-acceptance) to accept everyone's differences... Here's to being different!
I wouldn't wish normalcy on any one... Normal - conforming to the standard or common type..... BORING.....
Often mistaken for 40, likely due to years of coastal and mountain air, smiling, great genes/jeans, laughter, nature and feeling like I'm 26. Bonus to you? A man with many desirable talents and a youthful approach to life...
Hornby Island, Vancouver and Whistler are places I consider home. My current career allows me to move easily.
Eccentric and eclectic, know a little about a lot and a lot about a little; happy to learn everyday. Community, family, friends, and living in gratitude are priorities. Speak my mind often, and practice active listening skills.
Did I mention dancing? Dance a few nights a week; you'd live to be 100. Not into the club scene, but love good live music or a great DJ. Have been known to spin my cowboy boots thru sticks and beach stones to dance beats, rip up the floor to the Blues, groove a Reggae vibe, hang with the hip/hop crew, indulge friendly mosh pits and maybe waltz "you" around the room.
Kissing is like a hobby, something you love and practice often.
Films: LostInTranslation, MyOwnPrivateIdaho, The Trotsky, GalaxyQuest, ShallowGrave, Basquiat, StealingBeauty, The RedViolin, BeingThere, BlindSide.
Authors: Tom Robbins, Christopher Moore, Peter Matthiessen, Malcolm Gladwell, Sarah Dunant.
TV: don't own one; favorite shows: The West Wing (looking for my Donna Moss); Dragon's Den; SuperNatural; The Biggest Loser; Canucks Games.
Little known facts about me: I make faces while slicing fruit and vegetables. I stole dance moves from Michael Jackson and Prince. Actively took on my role as an Integrative Sociologist at age 12...
Clarification: Hornby Island has long been a part of my life, hence the hippy jeans. Growing up around a place like this gives you a pretty sensitive "flake meter", therefore the redneck jeans. So NO! No patchouli and No gun rack.
PS: Discrete tattoos "can be" kinda sexy; but if your sporting a sleeve, large body art or anything on your chest; not so much for me...
PSS: If your Mail Settings: "Must not" list is longer than your "About Me" section; probably not so much for me, you know what you don't want, but do you know what you want... or care enough to put the effort in? It's not rocket surgery... who are you, what do you want?

First Date
Lots of great ideas, willing to take charge, however a few minutes of quality phone time will maximize our desirable time sharing experience.
Love bikes, golf, hikes, patios, seawalls, skis/snowboards, local coffee hang, dinners(made or ordered), beaches, and almost any opportunity for laughter and flirting. An outdoors element is preferably. Indoor sports, laughter and flirting are good too.
