About Me
One of my lifelong hobbies is to learn the French language; at times I have tried to learn other languages, but over the years I always return to French. My current interest in books centers around India - they are usually novels since I enjoy learning about cultures in this way; the book group I belong to usually provides other types of books that keep me learning other things. My interest in cuisines and cooking also tend lately to be Indian or Asian, but I have also enjoyed learning/eating many other cuisines as well.
Physical activities I enjoy are skating, walking my dog, some hiking, casual biking, yoga, and I would like to have someone with which to do these types of activities.
My taste in music ranges from Classical to Motown to Classic Rock - it depends on the song and the group! Without being too cliche, my goals and aspirations are to be the best person I can possibly be - a sincere person who respects others. I want to continue to explore what is sacred in life. Personal integrity and values are very important to me.
I'm not sure what makes me unique except that I am me. I have many interests and a curiousity about my world and it's inhabitants. I have been called an adventurer of life.

First Date
In my opinion, first dates should center around an activity so that lulls in conversations aren't so important. The activity should have a definate end so that each party can then leave and assess if the other person is someone with which they have more of an interest or not. Also, each person should pay their own way the first time.
Suggested activities: a lecture, a class at a museum or recreation center, a sponsored bike ride, a 5K walk/bike fund raiser, an intro class at a climbing wall, a one time dance class, a one night cooking class, a local food store sponsored cooking or eating event.
