About Me
“A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for.” ~William Shedd
Well. Here I am. I'm taking another crack at this write-up thing, as it seems a lot of profiles end up sounding alike. Though, just so you know, I do like music, fun, doing stuff, traveling, and breathing air... eating food... etc.
I love to go on road-trips. Be it a weekend thing for camping, or a trip down to California. Interior of BC, or out to Tofino, and other such fun.
I think you could describe me as a moderate. I like camping, but I'm not one of those hard-core middle of winter campers. I like movies, but I don't have a 1000 DVD cross-indexed collection. I like to golf, but if I break 100 I'm happy. I like going for walks, not running half-marathons every day. Bike rides on some of the trails around town are fun. Maybe even bring a backpack picnic to have along the way! Or if it's raining, just staying inside with some tea and squabbling over who put together more of the puzzle, or if "gadzooks" is a real Scrabble word. (EPIC word btw)
In other news, I appear to be moving to the Victoria area in mid-March. It is very exciting to be coming back to the city that I love. I am looking forward to meeting some of you lovely Victoria women.
Furthermore, here are some ways that I am awesome:
• When my brother and his girlfriend (now wife) were living in crappy staff housing in Whistler, I voluntarily moved to Squamish and bought a house with them so we all could improve our lifestyles, even though Squamish was like the Death Valley of dating. Except not hot. What's the cold Death Valley? ...like that.
• I may seem a bit tame, but I have an alter-ego where I am a dashing Coast Guard officer, working on a ship at sea every other month. Hmm, am I lying? Is this the truth? Find out for yourself!
• I try to be a gentleman. No further explaination is necessary; this alone ranks as awesome.
• I am a lovable idiot who will bring cheer to your day with such things as childhood recollections, open-ended "What's your favorite..." questions, and the occasional surprise dessert from the bakery.
• Let it be known that hugs out of the blue for no reason are awesome; either giving or receiving. Also cool are non-Borat-related high fives.
Anyway, if we seem to have similar peculiarities, then you're the kind of girl I'd like to meet. Hope to hear from you soon!
