I would say that I'm an optimistic intelligent guy looking for a smart indepedent gal with whom I can enjoy life and travel the world.
I grew up in Toronto and lived there until I went off to University where I studied Economics at McMaster. I loved my time at University, and enjoyed my degree despite the fact that I will never use it. After graduating, I started my pilot training and now I am well into my flying career. I love my job, which I think is a cornerstone to a good life.
In my spare time I do a myriad of things. I travel a lot, be it a road trip to hang out with friends at the cottage, or visiting family, I've seen my fair share of the world so far. I intend to continue exploring the globe, and would like nothing more than to find someone to travel with me. I enjoy good food, and I love to cook interesting things. I play the guitar, and appreciate good movies. In the winter I play hockey and ski, and in the summer I waterski/wakeboard, cycle, and sail. A healthy lifestyle is important to me.
If I had to describe my personality in detail, I would say this. Smart goofy perfectionist, who knows when to be serious, but prefers to be ridiculous. At some point in my life, I turned into a neat freak. I'm very social, positive and enthusiastic so I'm usually smiling, just not in pictures.
The most attractive quality in a woman is her intelligence. I want someone who can have interesting conversations about random things, serious things, funny things, anything. I believe in truth and honesty whenever it comes to any interpersonal relationship; without your word, you're not left with much. I like to think I know what I want; and I know that sparks and chemistry are a good place to start.

First Date
Cooking a meal is a good concept, but more on a second date. A first date is a time to chat, and get to know someone in a relaxed atmosphere, going out for a couple drinks usually fits the bill.
