This is a great place to show world why you are not good dating material. Most of people take full advantage of the opportunity. Here is my attempt.
I lived in Vancouver for seven years. Therefore, I can claim to be 100% waterproof and 120% Starbucks addicted. After obtaining M.Sc. from SFU (Hopefully, I won’t embarrass them here) I moved back to Europe and started a business. My evolution from a humble researcher into a money hungry b**** capitalist was surprisingly enjoyable and reasonably successful. It took me a few years to set up the things, but now It's going smooth. Thankfully, I finally have more time to explore interest which are not stricly job related.
I enjoy playing basketball and I'm very enthusisatic about it. My music interests are broad but tend to converge toward alternative, indie and punk. Death Cub for Cutie, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Manu Chao but also Bruce Springsteen and Dixie Chicks are among the favorites. I like classical writers and find Hemingway and Hesse fascinating. I would also highly recommend exploring Latin American literature beyond Taco Bell menu. Gabriel Garcia Marquez novels are amazing.
During my undergraduate years I watched tone of different movies. By the time I have become more selective. The list of movies I could watch again is very long. Some which come to mind are: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, A Clockwork Orange, Day Dog Afternoon, The Bridge Over River Kwai, Forrest Gump, The Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, Cape Fear, Mad Max, The Mission, Das Boot (The Boat), American History X, Full Metal Jacket, The Usual Suspects, Apocalypse Now, Fitzcarraldo, Requiem for a Dream, American Beauty, Taxi Driver, Barfly, Mississippi Burning, Chocolat, Scareface, Platoon, The Exorcist, ...

First Date
Although I'm not looking for a date, I do have an opinion on dating. Romance is like making a dish. The fact that you like salmon and you like ice cream doesn't mean that you enjoy eating salmon with ice cream. Just like two delicious ingredients mixed together can taste badly, two quality people can end up in a very troubled relationship. The best dishes are made of components which enrich one another. Likewise, the strongest relationships are formed by couples who bring the best out of each other. Hence, I see dating as a long array of connected points at which we share not only intense love but also patient effort to make each other better.
