About Me
My life is fun. Even the boring times. And, I'm at a place in my life where I'm happy. My abilities far outweigh my challenges, and my tastes are as varied as my abilities. I've been called a renaissance man by some, a polymath by others, and a complete ass by others still because I always speak my mind and do it with the biggest grin on my face. But, by day I spend my life with the more mundane tasks of the genius job by working towards a degree in math, and an eventual career as a professional pain merchant aka a dentist. If I could be anyone though, I'd be Spider-Man, definitely. A science geek with a good heart and a photographer's eye who does right just because he can, what's not to like? In all seriousness, I'm passionate about helping people and see myself spending a part of my professional life providing treatment to the poor, in Canada and abroad. Most nights I write, draw, dream in metaphors and play random songs like 'hit me baby one more time' on my guitar. I’m intellectual when I need to be, but I know how to have fun, and a smile and cheeky comment are never far from my lips. But, I don’t have time for petty drama, emotional hysterics or BS.
I'm a bit of a geek, in case you hadn't figured that part out with the Spider-man reference, and I have a real curiosity for life in particular, and knowledge in general. I love learning useless details about the nature of things, or the history of weird places. I'll even go so far as to say that I make it a point to learn something new every day (today's topics: The early philosophy of René Descartes, and how to cook a perfect cheese omelette!) I've developed the ability to move through this life with my own mix of equal parts geekiness, sarcasm, and cynicism. But, at my core I'm an unrelenting optimist. I believe in chivalry and try to be nice to strangers, kids, and animals (except spiders!) I wake up each day knowing full well the wrong people do to each other, but believing in the inherent goodness of people to win the day. And while I've found the blunt force of a torrid wind, I've also felt the sweet surprise of a helping hand.
I can be a hopeless romantic because I know life is beautiful when shared, but I'm in no rush to get there. Don't be shy drop me a line and lets talk.
