Names Devin, graduated from Penn State with a double major, Japanese and International Studies and a minor in TESOL in Fall '11. Wish I planed a little better, study Japanese and then something that could easily get me a job if I was unsuccessful at getting one in Japan. Ah 20/20 hindsight and the love/hate relationship I have with you.
As I am a guy, I am into video games, but it's not my life. I do enjoy a good movie, but refuse to go see any unless I feel they it's worth it, which includes most of the Marvel movies. If you couldn't tell from my major, I am into a lot of things Japanese; food, movies, anime, manga, music, etc. Sushi is amazing and is SO much cheaper in Japan. I found it amazing when I went there to study abroad. I was suppose to be there for a year, but that was the year of the earthquake. That was not a fun experience and still have an occasional nightmare. It was a 7.0 where I was living. I'm not fluent in Japanese, especially when I haven't used it for a while, but I can still get by with some basics. Unfortunately that's getting rusty too so I am using Rosetta Stone right now to refresh myself.
I would love to be able to travel the world and see the beauty it has to offer. This leads me to wishing I was rich so I would be able to travel the world and see the amazing sites it has to offer and also not worry about whether or not I can buy some cool stuff on those travels. Kind of what happened in Japan. Didn't get out much because I had to watch the money, but what I did see was nice. TGS which was a few stations away. Those of you unaware of what that means: Tokyo Game Show. I was also able to see a favorite band of mine in concert on my birthday there. Somebody knew I was going to Japan, cause that was pretty sweet having the two things coincide. There are a lot of places I would like to visit and foods I want to try. I blame some of it on Travel Channel.
I'm not really picky when it comes to women. OK that's kind of a lie. I kind of am picky, but I think that's because I'm not sure what I want. I prefer tall, yet short girls can sometimes get to me. Weight wise, a part of me wants a girl that I can lift with one arm, then another part wants some curves. Now when I say curves that means there is some weight pass Average (proportionate), but no folds. Kind of a double standard as I myself have some weight, sorry. However, in the process of losing it as I know a nice body tends to get a nice girl, plus I am on the muscular side, leading me to look lighter than the scale says. I go for darker hair, but sometimes the same girl looks better with it lighter. I do love a nice pair of eyes. Color doesn't seem to matter as far as I have noticed, but larger eyes really do it for me. Speaking of large.....large ears can be nice. Not sure the reasoning, but when a girls ears stick out pass the hair, like an elves would, it just does something for me. A nice pair of glasses doesn't hurt, but not required. There's just something about glasses on a girl. Might be why lens free frames are a fad with the Asians. In the end though it doesn't matter what a girl looks like, however, there obviously needs to be some attraction between us to start with to see if a romantic relationship is possible. After that it's all about if we click or not. Someone who is able to relax and enjoy life, but can be serious when necessary. Being passionate about stuff is fine, just remember to relax. A girl that knows how to use make-up is nice. Too much make-up or improper application is a not appealing. I want to fall in love with you, not the you that takes 5 hours just for make-up. There are exceptions, actors and people who wear costumes. Good sense of humor and loves to laugh. George Carlin is one of my all time favorites. Loves animals. Open-minded: Food, people, experiences. No bigots or homophobes please. If you can cook, great, if not, maybe try a cooking class as a date. I'm not a chef myself, but I do pretty good. My forte is Italian since that's what half of my family is. I can be outgoing, but at the same time I'm kind of introverted, so a girl that can help crack that shell would be awesome. Life is about living and if I can find the girl to live life with that would be amazing.
There's more to know, but that can all be learned over dinners and dates. If I peaked your interest somewhere along the line, don't be afraid to hit me up.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Well since first dates are essentially interviews, dinner somewhere would be a good start. Learn some more about each other. Dinner and a movie works too, but dinner should be first so we can be a little more relaxed around each other. Always welcomed to ideas since I don't know the area that good since I just worked or went to school when I moved from Jersey
