I would describe myself as a confident and sociable person so meeting people isn't an issue for me. I have a 5 year old little girl who is the love of my life next to God. Although work and parenting keeps me busy, I still desire to spend time with a nice gentleman. I believe you need to have balance in all areas of your life. I decided it's time to stop neglecting myself and start making more time for "ME" and date a little. Let's see what Plenty of Fish has to offer. If a connection is made in the interim, wonderful and if not I am totally okay doing me. The right situation will not have to be rushed. Things will just blossom naturally. I am a small framed woman. I wouldn't say that I am average and I really wouldn't say I am thin but they don't give a lot of choices for women built like me. I checked thin but I do have meat on my bones (smile). A salad and water will not fill me up! I am 5'0" 131lbs. I guess I am perfectly proportioned for my height! To keep myself fit, I try to get some form of physical activity in a few times a week.
I often get asked "why am I single?" Better yet, why are any of us single and on POF? If we had all the answers to what it takes to have a successful relationship, none of us would be out here. All I can say is experience has taught me that communication, honesty and respect for each other is a critical recipe for success in a relationship. I love to laugh and have a good time. I enjoy many genres of music; smooth jazz, r&b, neo soul, reggae etc. I love to dance but I won't disqualify you if you can't. LOL! I can salsa but I would love to find a good partner that can show me a thing or two. My favorite form of travel is by cruise ship. You get to see a lot of destinations over several days. I also enjoy packing a bag and jumping on the highway for a weekend trip. Meeting someone who is secure with himself is key for me. My indpendence is a part of who I am; however I still want and allow the man to "be the man." As a man likes to feel he's needed, a women likes to feel safe and secure in his presence. I believe that a relationship is a partnership and we should both have each others back. When I am into someone, I am into just that person. There are many qualities that make us all unique. As for me, I am attracted to a classy man (with a little edge to him) who is well groomed and takes care of himself both inside and out. Someone who is intellectual and can hold their own in any environment is truly a turn on.
