Self-sufficient, caring, high-energy, not high-maintenance female looking for a nice guy with a sense of humor and sense of play. I've had one long-term marriage, left one long-term job, raised two wonderful sons that I have great relationships with, (along with a daughterinlaw), and am on my own and loving life. Isn't the best thing about raising kids the time when they are on their own and productive members of society? To say nothing of getting those hugs and kisses when you greet them...then you know you did something right along the way! I find humor and joy in every day living, and can laugh at myself. What about you? I'm just as comfortable in jeans and a cami as black tie, and I do both. I enjoy most types of music, love sailing, enjoy cultural activities, do volunteer work, love reading, come from a large very close Irish family, (and yes, I'm still employed too). Sailing is a state of mind in many respects...it seems you either love it, or hate it. It's the most relaxing thing in the world to just cruise, hear the sound of the waves against the hull, listen to music, talk to friends/family, and just chill out. Sitting on the bow and getting hit with the waves always brings out the giggles. My music tastes are eclectic...most anything except rap, hip-hop and metal. And I like snow...the cool frosty air is invigorating. Brains and a great sense of humor are turn-ons for me. Intelligence-both intellectual and emotional, curiosity, the ability to laugh at oneself, and a passionate person are what I am seeking. I find the sense of touch very powerful. People that are negative and complain make me crazy. I am a girly-girl most of the time, you won't see me in the mall in sloppy sweats (why do women do that?), I don't shop in the plus-size stores, not a tiny size 2 either, but am a female with curves and long legs. My glass is always about 95% full. I have no drama or stress in my life and intend to stay that way. I'm looking for someone to hold hands, play and enjoy life with...not ready for the rocking chair, probably never will be.
Life can be very short, and it is certainly fragile. I believe there is someone out there for everyone...I want to wake up with that one special guy next to me. I don't "need" someone, but I want to answer that question "is my life better with you?" with a resounding yes. True happiness is sharing your life with someone else. Love is about mutual support, respect, giving and helping each other reach our greatest potentials.
The strength of a relationship isn't in it's proximity to perfection. It's in finding intimacy & peace.

While I've indicated I'm seeking "long term", I believe you need to be friends first, and see what progresses from there, if anything.
