About Me
You should know...I currently live and work in the rainforest of Guyana in South America. I come back to Vancouver and/or Nelson for two or three weeks every month, and I'm always up for doing something fun and meeting new people. I'm a sucker for live music, bands, DJs, street musicians....as long as it's good, I'm happy. I'll go to any show at the Commodore just because it's that awesome.
My time when I'm in Canada is split between Nelson (where I live and play) and Toronto (Where my company is based). Unfortunately POF doesn't let me indicate I live in three places...so, damn.
Me, in point form:
I'm male.
I do not smoke cigarettes.
I climb rocks for fun. Except when the rains come. Then I climb fake rocks for fun.
I have one tattoo, and plans for at least 1 more. It's a big project, though, will take some time.
I have a beard. Sometimes it is long and unruly. Sometimes it is neat and trim. Sometimes it is multi-coloured from sun bleaching. There is no me without my beard.

The most important thing to me is enjoying what I'm doing, the people involved, and where the doing is being done.
I lived in Victoria for 5 years for my geology degree. I've spent my summers working in Northeast Nunavut (2 years), Southern Mongolia for 2 years, and the Northwest Territories in 2009. I currently work full time for a Uranium exploration company in South America. I love my job, and the places it has taken me, and the places it will.
Laughing is good. Laughing at myself is even better. Sometimes I do dumb things, even though I'm SMRT.
yes, I work in the mining Industry. Yes, I understand the environmental impacts of what I do. No, you won't convince me I'm a bad person.
I can speak a little bit of 4 languages.
I travel. Lots.
I have a potentially unhealthy obsession with rocks.
I'm pretty active, even on my 'breaks'. Rock climbing, dancing all night, rocking out, camping, hiking; my job keeps me fit, and I hate slacking off when I get home for 'rest'.
