About Me
I just became a motorcycle and car driving instructor. I teach motorcycle skills here in Nanaimo and I'm really enjoying it. I'm also a car driving instructor, but that's not where my excitement lies.
I am inventive, confident, outgoing, flirty (playfully) and sometimes just annoying. I'm usually pretty positive, but sometimes I can be a bit self centered, but never deliberately, usually when I'm exhausted, and usually all I need is a hug and a cuddle to fix me right up again.
I usually have the people around me giggling....sometimes at me, usually with me, and often wishing I'd just go away. My son has a sense of humor much like mine. The last time I had to take him to the doctor...figure skating without a helmet.......we had the doctor in stitches.
I am a single dad. They're 25, 24, and 17 at home, so don't need me around that much. My 15, almost 16 lives here in Nanaimo and visits when she has the time. I'm still waiting for all of them to launch and KEEP FLYING but they keep landing back in the nest. What's the deal with that? I also have five dogs, three cats, and a wood stove. I work over full time, so I gave up on "clean" a while ago. I breed Golden Retrievers, and am planning to keep one more female from the next litter. That's it. HONEST! My life is busy, messy and chaotic. while I sometimes like to think that I'm looking forward to empty nesting, I'm not really too sure about that.
I want Someone that likes to snuggle under my arm when we're together, thinks for herself and encourages without being pushy, but enjoys a lively debate from time to time, doesn't fall asleep when I get technical, has the intellect to understand my techno babble, lifts my spirits when I'm frustrated, and allows me to do the same in return. OH, and you have to have a pretty take it as it comes attitude. My life can be a little hard to predict, and going with the flow is the best way to keep up...NO, I'm not ADHD. Just busy. BTW, I'm a night owl, but enjoy the time alone after you've gone to bed. If you're a night owl, then even better! I'm also a power cuddler...lol....
A favorite thing to do is to unexpectedly climb on the bike and pick a weekend destination, or invite friends over for an impromptu BBQ, so a sense of adventure is a must, as well as a certain amount of flexibility. My work schedule can be hard to predict, and I grab the opportunities as they present.
My personality type is ENTP / ENTJ, depending on the day. I'm not stuck on personality types any more than I'm stuck on looks, as we all come as a complete package, but I'm willing to see if the scientific method might work better than "OH SHE"S KINDA CUTE"....but if you're short, and petite....well....ya know.....wink wink...nudge nudge...know what I mean? Know what I mean? (apologies to Monty Python)
I want to fall in love with my duality, whose warts are invisible to me because of her inner beauty, and who satisfies my everything for the next one hundred and fourty two years. After that is anyone's guess.

My own children are getting older. I love children, and if you have any, they, like you, would be more than welcome into my life.

I like most kinds of music, except ones that involve a lot of yelling...someone else put that and I thought it was rather apt...such as opera and heavy metal...although, not all heavy is bad. I even like Eminem, although he's the only rap artist I like, and I have personal reasons for that. I especially appreciate the music he's written about and for his daughter.

I believe in god, and although I'm not particularly religious, I have attended services regularly in the not too distant past. A number of years ago, I discovered the religion of the motorcycle, and on a nice day, I would rather be out for a nice spirited ride exploring the countryside. Believe me, I say enough prayers out there for the both of us!
