I'm a pretty low maintenance guy with a great sense of humor.
I love conversations, coffee houses, dive bars, dry martinis, and dry senses of humor. I'm a sarcastic optimist. I enjoy music very much - especially rock and jazz (and blues, and country, and classical, and occasionally even rap and hip hop). I'm a huge movie buff and especially love older movies (James Stewart and Humphrey Bogart are my favorite actors of all time, Hitchcock and Capra are my favorite directors, and Casablanca is my favorite movie). I like sports and love the Philly teams, even though they frustrate me so much. I enjoy theater, art, culture, and history - so I'm not just a sports meathead!
Okay, so I admit it, I am neither tall, dark, nor particularly handsome, but hopefully you can see past my short stature, pale skin, and crooked smile enough to realize that I really am an interesting, unique, and passionate person. Give me a chance and you'll find a great guy.
I’m only 5'6 on a good day, so there’s a good chance that I fall short (pun intended) of your height requirement. I've got to tell you, it's frustrating being short. I feel sort of like a kid at an amusement park when I come to this site. It's like everybody's profile says, "Must be this tall to date this girl" and I fall short by just an inch or two (or twelve…why is it that some girls who are 5’0 want to date guys who are 7’6?!?!). I almost wrote, "Must be this tall to ride this ride", but that just sounds naughty. Anyway, I'm not the tallest guy in the world and I can't even grow my hair really high to make me look taller, but I am willing to learn how to walk on stilts for the right girl. Are you she?
A really great personality and sense of humor are the most important qualities I'm looking for in a woman. I hope to find someone that's interesting, intelligent, and fun to spend time with.
I think that the best relationships start as friendships, so I'm looking for someone who will be my friend and hope that that friendship will grow into a relationship.
I've never understood the whole dinner and a movie concept. Sure, I love movies, but for a first date, I'd want a chance to get to know you. The only way I know to do that is by having a conversation. Since I'm not one to talk during movies (except during cheesy movies at home sometimes), I don't think a movie will cut it. So, I'd want to start with a nice dinner - probably Italian unless you have another preferance, someplace cozy and comfortable and suitable for a lot of talking. I'd love to do an interesting activity too - and that depends on your interests. Do you like art or history - let's hit up a museum. Not your thing? Maybe a sporting event or miniature golfing or bowling or pool. Any place where we can have fun, laugh, and get to know each other better.
