About Me
Looking for friendship with a pleasant person who has similar interests and goals that could develop into a long-term relationship; ideally someone who likes outdoor weekend activities and restaurants, etc. In good weather I enjoy: biking, rollerblading, nature hikes, cultural festivals, camping, beach bbqs, sailing, and when cold or rainy: ethnic dining, movies or reading. I have a wide variety of interests, listen to many genres of music and watch Canucks hockey & CFL football. I like sightseeing and photography on day trips or weekend getaways and have travelled to Western Europe, Hawaii, Australia / NZ, Mexico, Russia and most of North America.
I'm part Swedish and grew up on the prairies. I can make most people laugh but am a little quiet at first. I eat fairly healthy and exercise regularly. I like to cook for people and can make several gourmet dishes. I have a mechanical engineering degree and recently finished CAD courses at BCIT. I live in a nice shopping district near Granville Island with a great view of downtown, the ocean and mountains. My worldview is progressive and rationalist and I don't have any use for superstition, pseudoscience and conspiracy theories. I attend some RASC (astronomy), BCHA (logic & ethics) and Mensa meetings for interesting presentations based on science and reason.
