About Me
Hey folks - I'm a twenty-year-old student at the Ontario College of Art & Design, hoping to pursue a vocation in editorial and comic book illustration. Featured prominently in day-to-day life: scrambling over assignments, exploring new neighbourhoods in Toronto, perusing record stores, poking through galleries, and enjoying a good chat with close friends.
I have a philosophy of being receptive to just about any genre of music (Justin Timberlake and Karlheinz Stockhausen are neighbours on iTunes), and I try to apply that more broadly to living a full and exciting life. Pouring over a nifty art book and hitting the town both sound pretty appealing on a Saturday night, and I love people who can appreciate the different experiences life has to offer.
Favourite musicians include Bjork, PJ Harvey, Bowie, Sufjan Stevens, Massive Attack, and Serge Gainsbourg. Favourite artists, R Crumb, Art Spiegelman, Yoko Ono, JH Williams III, Charles Burns, and Chris Ware. I update a blog of my own artwork at http://www.ericdraws.wordpress.com/ if you're interested.
