About Me
Hello. Yeah you. Out of all the profiles in the whole wide world you landed here? What are you doing here? Wait, am I the fish or the net?
Well, I expect you might want to know a little bit about this stranger that you are staring at, but that is somewhat unrealistic, given that you are reading text in a made up voice in your head. Whose voice have you given me? Brad Pitt? Really? I will let you off with that one.
I was, up until now, chasing a career in law as a barrister. I've known for several years now that that isn't me. I am in the process of giving it all up. What if I end up on the streets? Well all things are possible, and with a balanced mind, I have no fear. A really scary thought would be of me, living an entire meaningless lifetime as somebody else.
My life began to change about 5 years ago, when I happened upon a meditation retreat. I wanted to change my life, but focused too much on the apparent reality. I got lost, trying to be something that just wasn't me. It was difficult to change because I had invested so much time, effort, and all night sessions chasing the dream. But the seed I planted 5 years ago, has started to bear it's fruits, and I can no longer live a life on tilt, chasing past losses. I am already feeling far more happier living int he present, and the weight on my shoulders has evaporated. Who knows where this life will lead to, but I am excited. Maybe I will reconnect with law at some later stage in life, but as a human rights activist, and not for money. There are far too many atrocities on this planet, controlled by dark forces that depend upon enslaving the population into an apparent reality existence. The true way to liberate the world is not through politics and law, there have been many intelligent humans that have attempted this. The true way, is to become conscious, to see the ultimate truth. When humanity becomes conscious and pure, there will be nothing but love and good will.
There is so much more to this temporary existence than a career. We are programmed into the rat race. Something out there is attempting to keep us plugged in to the matrix, a reality that is anything but real. The only way to be truly free, is to liberate yourself from the delusions of the mind. However, this understanding is meaningless, unless it is based upon experience.
My aims in life are to obtain a higher state of consciousness through meditation. I went to a Buddhafield festival where I practiced yoga for the first time and I instantly got it. Therefore, one of my goals is to become a yoga teacher, that way I can practice something that is inwardly and outwardly healthy, as well as having money to eat and travel. Law used to make me feel imprisoned, because I would need, among other things, this country's jurisdiction, an office, a book, and a courthouse. With yoga, I can practice and teach it under a palm tree in a desert island.
Please be rest assured that I have totally planned this message through, and am definitely not just typing away in a thoughtless frenzy (sincere apologies for the length).
