About Me
I believe in community support, and at least attempting to be a better person then the parent/s that raised me, no matter how great they were.
I am the youngest of a family of 8 siblings.
The baby of the family does not apply, I moved from my parents home at the young age of 16 determined to make it on my own, and I have not needed a Mommy or Daddy since that day, so I am not looking for someone to keep care of me.
I have a savoir type of personality, as you will noticed from my chosen professions; I am trying my best to get out of that type of personality profile.
I am a volunteer and a full time National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) - Health & Safety Manager. I have worked as a Medical Division Manger and before that was a Contract Operator for 16 years in Oil & Gas, one day at 4 am in -40 Degrees Celsius removing the cap form a frozen well head I looked up at the darkened sky and decided it was time for a change.
I am a kind caring person, who would give the shirt off my back if someone was in need, one of my strengths but also one of my faults.
I have two children 9 years old and 12 years old that live with me 50% of the time, their moms for one week and my home the following week. They are my life and I spend all the time with them I can. I do not allow dates or girl friends to meet my kids, until a long term relationship has been planned.
I am stocky well built man, strong like bull and the intelligence to match.
I am planning to buy my next house 2011 in this area and will not be moving to a different community for at least 10 years and I will most likely not be willing to leave my girls in a different community until they are able to abandon their safety net. This will happen after they have their own children, home, and a comfortable life, they at that time will feel confident enough to know they can make it on their own, some people need a parent to die to finally fly on their own. However I do not want to go to that extreme. LOL! As you may have noticed I have the gift of the gab and you will be entertained and ittelectually challenged in a conversation with me. I could go on and on and on but I do believe POF has a restriction on how much space I can use up.

First Date
I am also taking applications for bestest friends, I love travel companions if its jsut a trip to Edmonton or a trip to Vegas.
First Date: Coffee or a drink, if you prefer, sitting on the stools in front of the bar at Player’s Lounge, with a preset time we will depart, just in case there is no spark and our skins are crawling towards the door before we are.
A same evening or next day text, email, call on how it went, and decision if a second date is appropriate.
Second Date: A few drinks and supper plan to meet approximately 8 pm and fall deep into conversation, loosing tract of time till the little hand reaches 2 am.
Third Date: Trip to friends, Fire Hall, social event after work, at that point a more personal encounter would be acceptable; however I would never want to schedule that, much better if it happens naturally.
Fourth Date: A trip to the city, nice hotel, shopping, maybe a ride or two at West Ed, stop at the Casino and a minor bet on the roulette table, dinner at Red Lobster or a fine dinning establishment. Romantic evening and wake up in the afternoon after a wonderful weekend spooning each other, I am the big spoon! I rearly sleep in past 8 am on weekends and up at 5:30 am on week days.
Fith Date: Movies at home, Xbox, WII, planning a trip or casual conversation.
After all that: Hopefully we will be comfortable to do lunch, drinks, friends, hang out on a Saturday, Sunday movie night, and going back to each others homes at a descent hour to prepare for the busy work week.
Or any combination of the above. LOL!
What I am looking for: An honest person, able and willing to tell me everything, total pure honesty no matter how bad it is. If I am lied too one more time in a relationship I will not let the door hit me in the ass on my way out. If honest I will support the relationship to the best of my ability. I feel each person in a relationship has ``the right to know`` and has the right to make a informed decision on their life.

The next realization of a Girl Friend that has broke my trust and attacked my personality to gain unwarranted sympathy from others; I will not let the door hit me in the ass. LOL!
