About Me
Let's see I should probably redo this - I wrote this almost 2 years ago...hmmm what has changed - lots! But I'll have to think about it and come back - now that I finally have some free time on my hands lets see what I can concoct!
More then anything else - I'm probably looking for some adventure. My life has been way too serious most of the time. I want to laugh, live more in the present...be spontaneous...and just have FUN.
I'm pretty confident and self-assured most of the time. Extremely independent (uh oh) and definitely have a mind of my own - I guess I am strong willed - but I've learned to temper that. I guess somethings really aren't that big a deal anymore.
I'm a good listener - but frankly I'd like to spend some time with someone who is ALSO a good listener.....and I like Silence too.......comfortable silence.......please don't talk my ear off....some things are better left covered, others discovered slowly - and some not at all! ;-)
I am pretty multi-faceted - and many things interest me - and so many more things that I've yet to experience or try -
I like the city - although it seems I've lived most of my life in small towns. Ideally I'd like a condo somewhere downtown and and an ocean property somewhere else. I love the ocean, the salt, the sand, the breeze, the surf.....there's not much that compares to that for me.....
What am I looking for in a match? Someone who is confident without being arrogant - comfortable in his own skin (yep I know sounds like a cliche)......smart and inquisitive....both child-like and mature.......adventurous - spontaneous - knows how to have fun - and laughs - a lot - and can make me laugh...better yet - make me laugh uncontrollably - no I don't 'need' to have someone to make me laugh - I laugh at myself all the time - but it's nice to have some company! :) A teacher and a student.........and someone who never stops learning...Loves to travel.........enjoys road trips.......likes to socialize but also enjoys time alone.......
Went back to school a couple of years ago to complete a Teaching and TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language)e....(update: completed my TESL a year to go for my Teaching certificate of weeks ago)..and I love it! However, I am half reluctant to admit that there may be an elusive piece of the puzzle still missing....:)
Just recently (last summer) came back from a trip to New York - it was everything I ever thought it would be and more! Having spent much time in the country and around nature - I find myself craving the city life - the theatre, buzz, vibrancy and energy....I'm also mad about Boston, went to Maine and Rhode Island - who wouldn't love New England?.........ended the trip by going to TO, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City - la belle provence lived true to its name! :)
p.s. I'm 54 I have no idea how it popped up at 51 - if I was going to tell a fib about my age - I'd do a better job than that! Hmmm and I'm a Scorpio - this is what happens when a friend decides to get our profile going......:-)
