My life has been devoted to the arts. I am a painter and a singer. (A few samples of my paintings are shown here.) I have dabbled in acting.....comedy improvisation being my favorite thing to do in this arena. My 25 year career was in graphic arts and advertising. I have studied The French Impressionists with a grand passion for many years. And such was my focus until 9/11.
Today I am the mother of a very brave soldier just finishing his 12 month tour in Afghanistan. My focus is now on the Military, (OF COURSE!) American History, esp. the Revolution and the Founding Fathers. What a group!! (Obviously, I am drawn to brilliant rebels who change the world.) I still sing, write, photograph my six gorgeous puddy cats,(3 are Maine Coons, and one was born April 4, 2009)and look at my latest painting, sitting on my easel, drying. For now, the inspiration to paint has been eclipsed by world events. But the inspiration to do finished black and white drawings of the Founding Fathers has surfaced, and I have begun my portrait of Thomas Jefferson. And so far, I hate this drawing.
My photos are recent, but I am not 56. Lied......OH MY!!! for search purposes. If we communicate, I shall tell you my real age. I am under 80.(PLEASE....if age is an issue with you, do not contact me. Thank you.)
Photos only please.....and from this century. :})
Some observations and thoughts. Why do men post photos, and then go on to describe themselves? And why do they always describe themselves as great looking?
No baggage, they often demand. Alrighty lads. Go to a nearby hospital, and head straight for the nursery. There you'll find a bunch of newborns. No baggage. Have fun. Hey......adopt one of the octuplets!! If this idea doesn't appeal to you, there are always inflatable dolls. This doll also fulfills the needs of those whose profiles say, "no drama." A Military Mom lives in "Drama Central," so I also advise the "no drama" group to stay away from Military Families during wartime.
Why does anyone think anyone cares about how often men go to the gym? Do you want to know how often I floss? It's just as interesting.............
When I read a profile that is filled with how healthy one's lifestyle is, and how they don't drink booze, eat sweets, or red meat, etc etc........first, I doze off. When I awake, I think, 'not in a million years!' I prefer human beings with imperfections.....that way we can relate to one another.:})
I want to thank all of you who have wished my Sergeant well in his deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. You've been super, and it's greatly appreciated. HE IS IN TEXAS NOW!!! WAHOOOOOOOOOO I can breathe again! NOPE, I was wrong...can't breathe again....My son is in Ft. Hood, and was a first responder on Nov. 5, the day of the shootings. The massacre took place 200 yards from where my soldier boy lives. He was in that room until 3:00Am, helping the injured, and then some other things I won't mention. Guess no place is safe, even an army base.
As to what I would do on a first date. lol.... Wait and see!
Let's see...........my idea of a great first date is to drink 6 Long Island Ice Teas, get blasted, stand on the table, sing as loudly as I can. I'd make you proud..........(smile). (Oh my......some of you think I'm being serious about the booze and behavior. Sorry......just joking.)
