About Me
I'm the type of person who tries to be good at as many things as possible. I'm a computer science student and I'm in the last year of my program, but I'm also a writer/journalist and a cook at a downtown restaurant. Despite all my undertakings, my first priority is always relaxing and taking it easy; there is definitely enough time in life for it all.
I give in-home computer lessons/repairs on the side as well. I've been doing this for several years now and I always end up meeting the most interesting people in the process. As of last week, I've started working on a comic for my school newspaper with an artist friend of mine; it's been amazing so far, I'm glad I started!
Part of the reason why I'm able to do so much is because my school/work schedules aren't very demanding at all right now. I share a pretty sweet house with my two closest friends and I've found I haven't had much reason to leave lately.
I've mostly just been blazing and playing 360 during my considerable free time. I don't care though; I'm at a time in my life when I can take it easy and enjoy myself, I'm know I've earned it :D
My favorite music would have to be metal and electronic...although not neccesarily together. Trance/PsyTrance & Electro (AVB, S.U.N. Project, The Bloody Beetroots, Above & Beyond, Justice, etc.) are some of my go-to electronic picks and artists like Protest the Hero, Ensiferum, Amon Amarth, Opeth, Rammstien...the list goes on. As far as music goes though, I listen to pretty much everything and I like a tonne of other artists from a wide array of genres. I mix a little bit myself, just for fun, so I like to think I have a pretty keen ear for music.
I don't drink, I never have. I don't have any problems with others drinking (all of my friends do, obviously) but I personally have no desire to start. I can stand clubs/bars, but as I don't drink I don't go often. Trust me, I've been in enough disgusting dives in my life to know my way around them, but it's not something I particularly enjoy.
The list of things I do enjoy doing is far larger than that of the list of things I avoid. I play every sport I can get my hands on, especially tennis, soccer and squash. It's really quite unfortunate that my friends are so lazy; I know for sure I'd play more often. I ran the RVM half marathon last year but I just coulcn't get myself pumped-up to go running this year, I think it's time I started something enitrely new soon I'm just not sure what....
I've lived in Victoria for just over 2 years now and I'd like to live here a while longer, as long as I can find a decent job when I graduate in the January. I like my chances though, I think I'm pretty good at interviews. If that doesn't work out, perhaps I'll start my own gardening business; my garden at home is pretty impressive, I think I could hack-it commercially if I had to.
Finally, and I can't stress this enough, nothing is too far with me. I pretty much have no limits and I'm willing to try anything once. I'm pretty comfortable with who and what I am and I've been looking for someone similarly-minded for quite some time now. I'm pretty confident that I won't have to wait much longer :)

First Date
I'm pretty flexible, to be honest. I have a pretty wide range of interests so it would have to depend on on what you're in to. If you're the artistic type, galleries and museums are good choices as they're both interesting and quiet enough that we can have conversation.
I haven't seen the grizzlies play at Bear Mountain yet, so that would be another good one. BCHL games are honestly pretty fun, if you've never been.
And of course, there is always a movie. My collection is pretty strong, but I'm always down for a trip to the theatre. My personal top three would have to be: Let the Right one In, The Matrix & Monsters Inc.
Oh, nearly forgot, there's TONNES of sick places around Victoria I haven't seen yet; I'm referring specifically to the natural ones. I've hiked and rode mountain bikes for as long as I can remember, I hope you have to.
