About Me
i'm 25, and i just got my masters degree in piano performance down in houston, texas, where i lived for the past two years. i now play in a rock band and teach piano to little kids, most of whom don't want to learn classical piano. i'm becoming an expert at teaching how to play coldplay and green day hits on the keyboard. it's very rewarding.. i also like acting and writing...anything creative is up my alley.
i love music and love talking about it. it's what i've done all my life, and it's all i want to do. if you love going to concerts, you get bonus points. i wouldn't say i'm a hipster or anything, because thinking i'm a hipster makes my soul die just a little, but i am into the whole indie scene. i like thinking of things, and i like sitting by my piano late at night writing music. sometimes i might come off as a little pretentious, but i'm also easy-going and laid-back. i'm a blend of mild neurosis, quiet confidence, and overbearing optimism. that's supposed to sound like a good combination. really ;)
(speaking of mild neurosis: it bothers me that the "interests" field doesn't allow parentheses or apostrophes. i appreciate the ability to write and express oneself well, and the auto-formatting thing on here annoys me. c'est la vie.)

First Date
first date...i'm not entirely sure. somewhere where talking is not just optional. something where we can just meet up and get to know each other better and see if we click in person. coffee, lunch, maybe a walk. something uncomplicated and not over-the-top (that's for the subsequent "hey-now-we-know-what-the-other-looks-like-and-doesn't-think-he-or-she-is-crazy" date).
