I think Pof is a woman's fantasy land, where she slowly gets more and more detached from the reality.
On the general note, this is what I think about the times we live in:
People live to work. Life has no meaning without work. One is defined by their economic function.
Cost of living are crazily expensive.
Gangsta-worshipping thug culture.
People are segregated and paranoid of each other.
Default ice barrier between strangers. Every man is an island. People are polite but distant. Lack of human connection. One feels "alone" amongst crowds.
Friendships are superficial and fleeting. People drift apart easily.
Few people stick through thick and thin.
Smiles and greetings are fake, artificial and contrived.
One must always pretend that everything is going great and that one is always "having a great day", even if it's not true.
Segregated competitive vibe makes one feel fragmented, stressed, alone and insecure.
Human relationships feel artificial and superficial, mostly based on usefulness.
Meeting people restricted to cliques, school and work. The average person does not know many people and their dating choices are very limited.
Women are conditioned to despise men and look down on them as fools, predators and criminals.
Man-hating culture induces hatred of masculinity and induces men to act less masculine.
Niceness from men doesn't count. Women use it against them and see it as weak, needy and desperate. Women use "nice" to describe guys they are not interested in and have nothing good to say about.
People you meet online are usually unattractive, or with dysfunctional personalities. Experiences are almost always negative. Lots of women use pof just to enjoy the attention.
Co-workers don't usually eat together during lunch, but go their separate ways.
Going out alone makes you look like a loser to others, and you stay alone.
When you move to a new place, it can take months or years (or never) just to find a few regular friends.
A man is not allowed to signal interest in a woman unless she signals her interest first, or he will come across as creepish, perverted and inappropriate.
An ever growing number of people don't bother to make time for their friends or relatives.
When you have a mental/emotional breakdown, most of your friends (or all) will not want to hear about it, so you have to pay a therapist or counsellor, who will often prescribe antidepressants, which is unheard of in the rest of the world.
Kids do not respect their parents or each other, but mock and downplay them. They rarely see their parents after they reach adulthood.
Families are not harmonious. They are a group of people with competing self-interests. Individual needs are placed over the family. Divorce rates are very high.
People do not usually know their neighbours. They only politely nod or smile in passing.
If you lose everything - your job, savings, house, etc. - and hit rock bottom, no one will care about you or be there for you.
