About Me
Hey there,
I'm Adam, I'm 22 and recently moved to Taipei. Loving it here so far, just getting settled and job hunting. Hopefully I'll be sorted out teaching English soon.
I enjoy travelling and have been to Japan, most of Europe, USA and lived in Vancouver, BC for 6 months last year. Next, I'd really like to visit Brazil and New Zealand. My big ambition at the moment however, is to get back to Van. Theoretically, I'd like to emigrate there and stay for good. Gotta have dreams.
I'm big into music and play drums in a blues/rock band called Joey Hapax which is back in business now I have met up with the singer in Taiwan. I'm working on a solo project at the moment too as I'm a bit of a drumming nut! I love performing and I'm bit of a secret show off, despite seeming shy at times. Some of my favourite musicians are Travis Barker, Jonah Matranga, Jesse Lacey and Ben Gibbard but I'm more of a band person (which is probably why all four of those guys are more famous for their bands than themselves).
Blink 182, Green Day, NoFX and The Offspring where where I started and I still love those bands. I have branched out a bit now too and like a healthy mix of genres, although I still mainly listed to rock/metal based music. The list keeps changing, but Against Me!, yourcodenameis:milo, Brand New, Jimmy Eat World, Bad Religion, Metallica, Eminem, Within Temptation and Motion City Soundtrack are usually in my head.
I'm also a film fan and am trying to get through all the great films I've never seen - Any suggestions? My favourite film is either V for Vendetta, Silence of the Lambs or the Matrix but I wont make another list, you'll have to ask!
As a person, I like to think I'm honest, fun loving and genuine. I'm a very visceral person and tend to act/say whatever comes into my head first. This means that if somebody clicks with me I will be their best friend and If they don't they'll probably think I'm just strange and creepy. Its a risk I'm willing to take and it means I tend to cut through the bullsh*t pretty quickly and try to get to the real person I'm talking to. Some people are obsessed with appearance and being perfect but this definitely isn't me and I am far from beautiful or perfect. Luckily I don't try to be!
So here I am. I love meeting people and I'm up for pretty much everything at least once. If you'd like to know more then get in touch and lets see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

First Date
My ideal date is something spontanious and unplanned. It doesn't have to be spectacular or even memorable. A day on the beach in summer or finding a great new restauraunt can be the perfect day. I find that the best times in life come totally out of the blue. As Freddie Mercury said: “If it's planned, it's boring!”
