I've been noticing that people seem really active these days: hiking, yoga, water skiing, skiing-skiing, mountain climbing, bouldering, surfing, marathons, tough mudders, Spartan races, white water rafting, zip-lining, and going to Machu Pichu, etc, etc. Don't people like to lounge around anymore? Just you know, take it easy? Maybe hang out reading a book under shade on an easy breezy Southern California Weekend, breathing in the fresh coastal air? Don't get me wrong, I work out and am pretty fit (my achy ankles are reminding me of this fact). It just seems everyone's running around trying to cram as many activities into each day before their number gets punched. Seems harrying and exhausting.
Point is I'm in a chill mood for spring. Just wanna savor the weather...and, much as it bugs me, tone up for summer. That's the report.
So what's my deal these days? I'm interested in confident, clever women with a sophisticated sense of humor. If you can understand subtle and clever then we'll probably spend a good amount of time laughing together, or at least grinning.
I tend to get along well with educated and curious women; they always have something new to talk about. Plus I enjoy interacting with people who know what's going on in the world. I love hearing them speak passionately about new ideas, new discoveries, new revelations. This means we will have a lot to talk about and we'll have a chance at developing deeper more profound connection.
I appreciate and respect a sense of independence, a woman who can take care of herself, who can be resourceful. I want to spend time with you but but we all need a little me-time once in a while.
Are you social? I meet a lot of people not only through my work, but also in the most random places. I'm not afraid to talk to complete strangers. If we're both social then we would probably make a great team.
I also respect a great sense of style. Not trendy mind you. Trendy is for girls. Style is for women.
Taste in music: If you listen to KCRW at night, if you like that sexy, groovy jazzy downtempo hip-hop-but-not exactly house sound, then we will get along swimmingly. I listen to a lot of different music as a DJ and pretty much think all music's good. If you're nice and if the timing's right, I might show you how to DJ.
If you have at least some of these qualities, then we'll likely get along nicely.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Went to Kubrick. Saw the giant rock @ LACMA. Now I wanna catch one of the Cinespia movie nights. Don't know which one yet. There's so many things to do in LA right now. If you come up with something cool, I'm up for it.
I'm gonna regret this, but I would like to hike to the Hollywood Sign.
I've been wanting to go to the Aquarium of the Pacific. Never been. I was waiting for Long Beach to gentrify first, and doggone it, Long Beach is gentrifying. So it's time to go.
