About myself: I am outgoing, intelligent, artistic, humorous, curious, and ambitious ( apparently not humble though)
In my spare time, I like to sketch, find new restaurants and cafes, listen to CBC or TED talks, walk or run somewhere, go on a daytrip taking pictures, geek about with technology, read (fiction or non) or refresh my creativity (sometimes just vegetate) with a good movie, podcast, or TV show. I'm almost always game to try new things. Though I have travelled some, I am eager to get on to new and different places.
I enjoy the outdoors and have been active in playing sports –soccer, running, touch football, squash, baseball - but don’t so much watch sports on TV (consequently my weakest trivial pursuit category.) I've become a bit of a “foodie” over the past few years so appreciate high quality, healthier meals and try to cook for myself but also enjoy the social experience that is trying a new restaurant.
I have a great group of long term friends and a good relationship with my family. I visited my younger brother in Australia recently and make regular visits my older brother and his two young kids.
Ideally you are smart, challenging, friendly to everyone in a warm kind of way, funny, independent, creative, and outgoing. You often use your smile and a have your own sense of style. You lead a healthy lifestyle, have ambitions, and are interested in continual learning, travelling and new experiences. Stimulating conversation (any subject allowed) and the ability to challenge or teach me new things is welcome.
That's my wish list anyways.
It seems to me, though profiles and pictures get us part way there, I think chemistry is ultimately the differentiator. That means, in addition to your profile having at least one picture, and more than one line communications, I may want to meet up sooner rather than later.
In my mind, a first meeting (casual) is to find out if there is chemistry - and to make sure you're not crazy. To that end, meeting up at a cafe for a coffee, tea, or a mango smoothie will work. If things go well, don't rule out spontaneity. Thereafter I'll get more creative..
