What I mean by me being a Weerdo is that I don't live by being "normal". I live by being moral. We all create and abide by many different norms throught out entire lives... What may be considered normal to you may be totally insane to someone else. I also am stating that I have a non-common sense of humour and several unique interests. I am definitely one of, the most ecclectic people you will ever meet in life.
One of my passions in life is writing. The power of the written word is immense. I write poetry, lyrics, short-stories, novels. I have been working on a novel for several years now. The idea for it came from a nightmare I once had when I was younger. I started off writing this incredible ending which you just have to read to believe and I am working on everything else from scratch, from the start to all that is in between...
I love music. It is my other true passion in life.
To me MUSIC IS MUSIC, regardless of style or genre. Music is a universal form of communication and just like any other oral communion, it comes in many different languages...I do not look down upon another individual because of the music they listen to. I find that every form of music has some kind of intelligence and beauty to offer. You just have to seek it by opening up your ear and mind. You name it, I listen to it. Country, Classical, Punk, Classic Rock, Soft Rock, Metal, New Rock, Blues, Jazz, Rap, Hip-hop, Flamenco, (Theres a difference between Rap and Hip-hop), Reggae, Soca, Polka (Alright, I made a rhyme!), Greek Music, Pakistani music, Somalian music, I can keep going if you like...
I watch a fair amount of t.v. I used to be a real couch potato when I was younger. The following list of television shows I like is in no particular order, because, since I am a writer, I am always editing what I write and thinking of better ways in which I can express ideas. And sometimes, just when I think I am finished, I seem to have forgotten something...lol. I like to watch Law & Order (The longest running Emmy Award winning drama) Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Without a Trace,C.S.I.,C.S.I. New York(I never did get into C.S.I.Miami, although David Caruso is an mazing actor), Seinfeld(The best situation comedy of all time), Sanford & Son, Frasier, Cheers(of course, thats how I got into Frasier), Friends, The Daily Show with John Stewart, The Colbert Report(Okay those two are in order, just because the latter came about from the other),Family Guy,The Simnpsons, Robot Chicken(Seth Green is awesome),Kenny Vs. Spenny(These guys are hilarious. Poor Spenny always gets tormented by Kenny),Jeopardy,The Price is Right,Rescue Me,3rd Watch, Old Canadian game shows like: Press Your Luck andSuperMarket Sweep...I could go on and on...Too much boob tube is no good for the eyes...mind you the same thing applies when youre sitting, staring at a computer monitor.
Im a social drinker, but I would rather a cup of orange pekoe before a beer any day.
Did I mention I love writing and music?
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
So people are still doing the dating thing? Wow!
Well for me a first date is something simple, yet enjoyable. Or it can be complex and exciting. There has to be no pressure and it has to be in a comfortable atmosphere.
A first date for me consists typically of a cup of coffee or tea, or an ice cream and a walk either in the park, on the beach or just down the street on a beautiful day, where we can just talk and get to know one another. It's amazing how a peaceful walk can really get people talking and get them to open up to each other.
A first date with me may instead be(if you happen to be so lucky enough) an adventure of epic proportions...I'm a random kind of individual and love to be spontaneous now and then. I'm not saying we'll hop on a plane and fly off to Spain together(That's more like something I would do on my own or with somebody I know really well), but maybe a trip downtown to get new tattoos or piercings or a drive into the country to go blueberry picking. Possibly seeing a show, followed by a Tango lesson, a tour of Toronto's most haunted places and then ending the night by jumping into a really large water fountain(I've always wanted to do that and haven't yet!!!)......
Dinner is also a very good option. I'm an amazing cook,(I don't mean to *cough* brag or *cough* anything,*cough*) and I am constantly coming up with new recipes. I would love to cook and prepare a meal for a special lady and talk all hours into the night with her...
