About Me
Just moved back to Dublin in 2011 after six years living in Britain and am reacquainting and reconnecting with Dublin where I want to put roots down.
I am an African-American music fanatic and thats putting it mildly. In particular, I love all kinds of Soul and Jazz and like to go to clubs that play this music for a good old dance which means occasional travel to Britain for events, as well as nights out in Dublin for the odd night when there are decent DJs spinning soulful music. Sometimes I DJ myself and have promoted lots of events in the past. I do like other styles of music also. I love Richard Hawley, John Martyn, Nick Drake, Paul Weller, The Jam, The Style Council and lots more besides.
Apart from music and dance I love comedies whether films or TV shows. I like Black Books, Father Ted, Blackadder, Phoenix Nights, IT Crowd and much more. I like dramas as well, but not a fan of anything to do with serial killers or thrillers. I had enough thrilling moments as a social worker in England to do me a lifetime. Not really in to action movies either.
I also love discussing philosophy, politics, social issues and the meaning of it all. I have a very inquisitive mind and love a good debate and always have two or three books on the go at once. I am also a writer and have had my first book published in 2011. I have also had some success as a blogger and have just started a new one on Irish politics and culture.
I consider myself a very open and honest person. Im not into playing games. I tell it like it is. Im looking to date to begin with but with the view to having a relationship with the right woman or even the wrong woman if she was alluring enough.
