I love to laugh. I strive to be kind, patient and understanding. I believe in love and in chemistry.
I am looking for someone who is intuitive, socially and emotionally intelligent, creative, free-spirited, honest and an out-of the box thinker and problem-solver; someone who appreciates beauty in creation, is positive, humble and encouraging; a good leader who takes into account the well-being of those he leads; who likes to talk, is an excellent listener, and has a good cadence in his conversation, yet is not daunted by moments of peaceful, silent understanding; who will want to take a walk, leisurely bike-ride or hike to enjoy getting out in nature; someone who does not invest significant time into watching television, staying online or playing video games, and who would prefer enjoying sitting together on the porch, or contemplating the flames in a bonfire.
About me...I'm a songwriter, performer and inventor with utility patents. A Georgia Tech Grad with a degree in Industrial Design and minors in psychology. I am very creative and love to collaborate on meaningful projects. And all along, I try to keep an eternal perspective on life.
I believe life is an adventure. I have faith that ultimately, everything works for good. All of my experiences have given me more insight and wisdom. To me, the keys to a good partnership are: love (1 Corinthians 13 type of love,) a shared sense of humor, excellent communication, compassion, mutual respect and self respect. A shared purpose and passion would be the ultimate in a partnership, because we could be co-laborers and mutually supportive.
I moved to Austin from Atlanta in February of 2013 to have more opportunities to perform original songs. I have been writing songs since I was 12 years old.
I currently volunteer at a foster home, helping children to write songs as a therapeutic outlet for these children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse. I also currently volunteer as a Peer Specialist in the mental health field. My dream is to combine these two abilities, and use therapeutic songwriting in the mental health field, to help others express their feelings and thoughts through song.
Some of my favorite musicians include: Neil Young, Cat Stevens, Tom Waits, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Gillian Welch, Crosby, Stills and Nash, The Be Good Tanyas, The Ramones and many more. I like some Metal. I like the rhythm of, and to dance to, the blues, and even hip hop (except for when the lyrics degrade women.) I like most music, and would want a partner who does too.
I pray to find a partner who shares my passions and faith, who enjoys being outside in nature, who is young at heart, thoughtful, intuitive, spiritually and emotionally sensitive and perceptive, who has a keen sense of humor, and all the other things I mentioned above. : )
Thank you for reading this far. If you feel we have much in common, and that you would like to meet, please send me a message here. I am open to meeting to see if we click or can be friends. I DO believe that men and women can be supportive, platonic friends, and that friendship is extremely valuable. I am looking for only one partner for life. There are many subtleties to that relationship that likely cannot be determined in a single meeting.
I may possibly have some interest in you if you select "yes" that you "want to meet me," but I would truly appreciate your explaining your interest a little more in a message...I am shy about responding to these "___________ wants to meet you!" prompts.
If you send me a thoughtful message (not an IM,) and I feel there is a chance we could be friends or more, I will respond in kind. Please don't be offended if I don't respond; my tendency is to be a bit wary of this whole online thing.
