About Me
Here are a few random facts about me:
I've been told more than once after the first date that they really liked me, but there just wasn't a spark because I was "too nice". Opinions definitely change when I begin to open up a bit more. I once overheard someone advising her friend "DO NOT let that guy get to second base if you aren't willing to wave him on home. It's just not fair for someone that innocent looking to have the moves he does."
I’m a man’s man who is strong enough to lift you and two of your friends and would feel absolutely no compunction in using that strength to brutally crush any man with the audacity to attempt to take the ball/puck away from me, but will spend most family reunions acting as a human jungle gym for the younger generation, having a tea party with my young nieces, or sounding like a complete and utter fool cooing at all the adorable little babies.
In some social settings I’m fairly quiet or reserved and am content doing more listening than talking, but on a Cuban beach with a group of attractive women who coyly ask “You up for a skinny” I’m in the water naked before they can say “dip”. Introverted? Perhaps. Shy? Not at all
I’m a professional in a very high pressure job, managing/coaching several engineers and having environmental permitting responsibilities for numerous multibillion dollar projects, but have more fun doing it than I would ever let the company president know when it comes to salary negotiation time each year. (wait...you're paying me to spend a week in the Serengity and another week on the coast of the Indian Ocean with only four days of actual work spread in there...man...tough assignment, but you know you can count on me to handle it:)
As for the more typical info people ask for... I lead a fairly active life. I work out three or four times a week and spend a night or two involved in whatever sport is in season. Hoping to find someone that is at least somewhat active themselves. You certainly don't need to beat my time on the Grouse Grind (or even consider me anything other than a complete sadist for suggesting we do it sometime), but if your default plans for every day revolve around vegging out on the couch (definitely good on occassion, but not as a lifestyle), we may not match up so well. I don't watch alot of TV (will occasionally get hooked on a series like Rome, BSG or Game of Thrones), but do have a fairly extensive movie collection. As for music, my tastes are fairly eclectic. If I set my collection to random the first five songs to pop up are (dramatic pause while it loads) Sin by NIN, Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys, New Low by Middle Class Rut, All Along the Watchtowers Jimi Hendrix version, and Epic Rap Battles of History: Albert Einstein vs Stephen Hawking.
What am I looking for? I'm looking for people who (I feel like such a hippie expressing it this way) have a positive energy. You should have a generally positive outlook and spend your time enjoying yourself actually doing things rather than thinking about what you could do, would be doing, or should have done. My ultimate goal is to meet someone I can happily look forward to spending the rest of my life with, but I plan on relishing every minute of life I have till that person comes along (and then relishing every minute I have with them of course;).

First Date
There is no one first date that will work for everyone, so I generally tailor them to whoever I might be meeting. That might simply entail a quick coffee, a couple drinks over a game of pool, a night of dancing, or we could just make eachother scream out in pleasure again and again and again till we've both had our fill. What? I meant go to a Six Flags. What were you thinking? ;)
That all said, my personal preference would be to do something more entertaining than the typical coffee date. That way even if we don't hit it off, we still had an exciting time. Perhaps the beach? Maybe take in a concert? Ziplining anyone?
