About Me
Ok, so now I have to impress you with how wonderful a guy I am and how you must get to know me.... (Geez, no pressure here! LOL). Well, I'm not sure I can do that in so many words, but if you take the time to get to know me.... I know you'll not be disappointed - how's that?
I am a lot of things, funny, honest, serious, caring, romantic, creative, loyal, intelligent (or at least I like to think so) a horrible speller (thank you spell check!) and about a thousand other things. I'm a photographer and I'm pretty dedicated to my career, but that's not to say I don't have time for someone special in my life. I've never been a bar person, being self-employed means you can not meet someone at work plus I have a rule to not hit on my clients, so it can be a little hard meeting someone. That's why I'm here.
To be honest even though I spend a huge amount of time in front of a computer (digital photography makes you get to know your computer very well!), I really prefer to talk to someone (in person or on the phone) to get to know them rather then through e-mail.
Attraction is important, but the person on the inside is just as important to me. Obviously things need to start off slowly and build from there. The woman I'm looking for would hopefully have some of the following character traits: caring, romantic, intelligent, funny, open-minded, honest, believes sex is an very important part of a healthy relationship, someone who believes in communication on all levels and believes that it's the people in your life that matters most. My friends and family are very important to me and I would hope that she would think the same way about her friends/family.
I have 2 cute/crazy cats that hang out with me (or allow me to hang out with them is more accurate). So she would have to at least tolerate animals, if not be an animal lover herself.
I can have a great time doing just about anything, as it's the people that I'm with that matters more then what I am doing with them.
I'm looking for one great woman to get to know and hopefully that can lead to a relationship, though everything needs to start off as friends and build from there. If you are out there and reading this, let's get to know each other.
MINOR RANT!
One thing that drives me crazy on sites like this is that some women (I don’t know maybe some guys are like this as well) make an entire grocery list of things that they MUST have in partner.....some go so far as what type of job they expect the “applicant” to have, an absolute minimum height (it doesn’t matter that they are 9 inches shorter then what they are “demanding”), the guy MUST be this, that and the other thing! If you cannot check off all 20 of these things on my DEMAND list- sorry, you are not perfect and I refuse to look in your direction. And these same people say they have no idea why they are still single! DUH! The answer is simple - they are incredibly shallow, superficial and think connecting with another human is as simple as ordering a pizza! Yes, everyone has certain traits that they are attracted to and some that they are not so attracted to - I get that and I have those as well. But I also know that everyone is different and you cannot “demand” things in life. Some of the best things in life are surprises.
I’m not saying this because I didn’t meet any particular womans' “ unrealistic demand’ list - frankly when I read someone’s profile that has that I chalk them up into being a self absorbed shallow person and move along - the person on the inside is equally as important to me as the person on the outside. “She aint pretty she just looks that way!” is the song title that rings through my head when I read a profile of physically attractive woman who has am unrealistic DEMAND LIST.” I know there will be women who are reading this and saying to themselves, “ I deserve the best and I will not settle for anything less!” Well to you I say you are the people I am talking about being shallow and superficial! (You know the old joke about there being a sucker at ever poker table - look around and if you can not find them...it's you!) If you want to end up like the crazy old lonely woman with 30 cats on the Simpsons.... you are doing everything perfectly to achieve that goal!

The thought for the day.......KARMA - the joy of watching somebody get what they deserve. PROFESIONALISM - the ability to sit back, enjoy the show while keeping your mouth shut and the smile off your face!

First Date
I think going somewhere to talk and get to know each is the way to go. It could be just as simple as somewhere for a coffee or a drink and some wings on a outdoor patio, or maybe taking a walk on the river walkway. Anything so we can get to know each other.
