About Me
It eludes me how to go about cramming a meaningful description of my personality/nature into such a short paragraph! I could use a number of different adjectives to describe myself: confident, outgoing, spontaneous, independent, down to earth, humorous, etc... These words provide a small snapshot of who I am but are certainly not anywhere near the whole picture. WIthout context, words just seem so insignificant.
One of my passions is music. Much to my chagrin, I lack any real musical talent...other than whistling, LOL. My taste in music tends to lean towards the obscure. My favorite genres are alternative, rock and punk. I'm originally from Newfoundland, so I also have a deeply rooted appreciation for irish/newfie music.
(Side note: Newfie jokes will not be tolerated under any circumstance :P....unless, of course, they are really, really, really funny).
I have a career I love in the not-for-profit sector. I find it very fulfilling as it allows me to give back in, an albeit small, but meaningful way.
I'm looking for a kindred spirit; someone who shares my interests, values and beliefs. That's not to say total, absolute commonality is required. The old adage "opposites attract" wouldn't exist if there wasn't some basic truth behind it.
The most important quality I look for in a guy is a witty sense of humor. Being provoked into laughing until your stomach hurts is one of the most wonderful feelings in the world! Other important factors are honesty, loyalty, respect, kindness, intellectual connection and physical attraction.
