I'm a shy woman, but warm up once I get to know you. I've lived in NJ for most of my life, though I have lived in NC for a little while, too. I've started my own business of screen-printing clever sayings onto t-shirts/accessories this year...off to a slow start, but I am optimistic about its success. Along with this new venture, I work temp jobs and I'm helping my friend edit her thesis for her Master's degree.
I try to eat healthy and I have adopted new eating habits, although I can't resist most things made with chocolate, bacon, or chocolate covered bacon. I love to cook, too, and love to make Italian dishes and desserts from scratch. I also love to sing, watch movies, go to Manhattan - to see musicals, plays, and museums - love to go to concerts, bowl, travel, dance, write, wear lip gloss, and do anything fun.
I find that a sense of humor is paramount to a relationship. I love to make people laugh and smile. If a man can make me laugh, he just may win my affections.
As far as tastes in music, movies, TV, etc., here is a smattering of what I like:
Music: I have an eclectic collection of genres - rock, alternative, classical, jazz, Broadway, novelty, crooners, punk, and current hits. My absolute favorite bands are The Beatles, The Who, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Rolling Stones, The Kinks, all the great rock & roll/blues legends. I love singing these songs, too...always singing - at the top of my lungs!
TV: Mad Men, The Simpsons, House, M.D., Family Guy, American Dad, various shows on Food Network, various cooking shows on PBS, various music programs on PBS, streaming classic TV shows on Netflix using my Wii, Project Runway, The Soup, The Dish, and other reality shows...mostly the ones on Bravo.
Movies: Comedic movies are my absolute favorite - all types of humor, too. Some of my favorites - Monty Python & The Holy Grail, Blazing Saddles, Naked Gun, Airplane!, The Blues Brothers, A Night At The Opera, Duck Soup, Animal Crackers, Some Like It Hot, and Animal House. I also like Disney movies, some foreign films, some action/dramatic films, and lots of B-movies - or, what I call "craptastic." Examples: Howard The Duck, The 'Burbs, Drop Dead Fred, Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead, Back To The Beach, and Amazon Women On The Moon.
Books: Classic literature - Shakespeare, J.D. Salinger, and Edgar Allan Poe. I love satire and humor - picked up Dave Barry's newest book, he's hilarious. I also have books by Groucho Marx, George Carlin, and David Sedaris.
If you decide to send a message, please have a grasp of the English language and proper grammar. I don't have patience to decode "netspeak." If that makes me a b***h, I don't give a f**k.
