So I was driving home the other night, and I see my neighbors walking down the street, hand-in-hand. He's in his early 60s and she's in her late 50s, but you really can't tell by the way they were with each other. They stopped me and asked if I wanted to go get a beer with them, and of course, I said sure! So a few beers in, I tell him, "hey, it's really nice to see you two holding hands walking down the street; quite a few of my friends are ending their first marriage for various reasons...and it's kinda disheartening sometimes. It's just really nice to see." He laughs, takes another swig of his bud light; she peeks around him, giggling, and says, "we are both on our second marriage, it takes a few tries to get it right, just like anything else."
As to what I'm looking for: Sincerity begets sincerity; despite my story, I don't drink often, and I like the feeling of going to bed sober. I'm typically drawn to well read, intelligent, and ambitious women...though I confess career has made it difficult to stay in an relationship with an ambitious woman, and have both careers pan out. If you are not a Daisy Buchannon, I would like to hear from you.
