I'm fun, happy, adaptable, open minded,"easy going, not easy", and difficult to embarrass. I have a lot of energy and am a very happy person. However, I'm particular about who I share my energy with -- having something intelligent to say is a good start. My personal style is a little geeky (not to be confused with nerdy... "geek is chic"), laid back and casual with a some rockabilly thrown in.
I spend my free time going on road trips, cooking (I’m a really good cook... gourmet stuff), home-owner related projects (painting, repairing, decorating, etc.), hanging out downtown, reading (mostly personal development with a few various fantasy novels), playing on Facebook, skiing in the winter, wake-boarding in the summer.
My birthday is in May which, if you're into astrology and it makes a difference, makes me a Taurus. I own my own home in Northeast Bakersfield. Oh, and I'm clean-shaven from the neck down (save the armpits).
I have no children of my own (but love kids and get along great with them), and I'm not currently in a relationship.
My "9-5" is at a civil engineering firm working on land development -- entitlements (zone change, conditional use permits, tract maps, etc.) and construction documents (streets, wet utilities, grading, etc.) I absolutely love what I do and who I work with... it's a 'cold day in hell' if you hear me complain about my job, hehe.
Also, I own two business of my own -- 1) network marketing business coach, and 2) graphic design studio -- and am partners in a third -- merchant processing consultation and service: I help educate business owners on how to read their credit card statements (discovering hidden fees, higher rate percentages, etc.) and provide service in the form of tech support and material delivery.
I have a few other ventures in the works which include two content-driven websites and a catering business with my Aunt.
You should be willing to be physically affectionate (hugs, kisses, holding hands), physically intimate (I've never slept around, but I love sex and am a very giving lover), and open-minded.
I'm not the jealous type and have no desire to control, possess or manipulate anyone -- especially a significant other. If you have a tendency to become jealous, it would be better if we went our separate ways.
Whether you want to go fast, take things slow, be friends for a while, whatever... I'm comfortable with pretty much anything.
Don't forget: I'm sharing my photos with you. Reciprocation is expected.
A quick quote that rings true with me...
"I've never resonated with the usual dating and courtship process. Traditional dating is actually one of our society's most ineffective inventions. The main reason it gets so much attention is the commercial engine that drives it. Restaurants, movie theatres, jewelers, etc. want you to believe that spending money on their products and services equals romance. If you’ve swallowed this belief system, I assure you that you’ve been duped. This belief system stems from marketing, not truth. It has virtually no connection to the realities of human relationships."
If I really like someone, my aim is to spend lots of one-on-one time together with no distractions. We'll talk about our lives, and share our interests, hopes and dreams with each other. I want to dive into what’s really important to both of us. This way, an amazing connection can be created in a matter of hours that would otherwise take weeks to accomplish with traditional dating.
This may take some courage, but it takes very little time. As I see it, a bit of occasional "embarrassment" is a small price to pay for the rich rewards of a meaningful human relationship.
