About Me
I am a high school teacher who cares deeply about his work and tends to throw himself far more into it than into developing a social life. I am shy, sometimes to a fault. But you would probably never know that to actually talk to me. Teaching is, after all, part theater and it is hard teaching a bunch of teenagers if you appear self conscious. So, I've learned to hide it, but there is a quiet romantic lurking inside. I have a friend who likes to tease me about how cute some of my notions are.
I tend to go out more when there is a group of people to go out with and am more of a home body when left to my own devices. I have a group of friends that are close. I'd rather spend an evening with a at home with family, hanging out casually with my friends, or with a good book rather than at a bar.
Staying active is important to me. Sometimes I don't get as much of a chance as I'd like during the school year. But I love sports and still compete as well as coach.
Family is very important to me. I also have a sense of humor...though just how much "sense" is there is a matter for debate among friends and family. I'm not sure what else to say. I tend to be honest and plain spoken and value those qualities in others. Oh, did I mention that I do tend to ramble? I'll stop now.

First Date
I think that a first date should give two people a chance to get to know each other. Dinner and just talking. Interpersonal chemistry is important and it is a little hard to find without time to just chat casually without interruptions.
