A spirit of adventure and curiosity has taken me to many corners of the world. These have been amazing opportunities filled with wonder and growth. If the opportunity to visit more places arose, I’d be thrilled, and am also content with being where I am.
I love nature and venture into the outdoors as often as I can. Summer finds me hiking, camping and kayaking; in winter I snowshoe and x-country ski. In fact, doing just about anything in nature leaves me feeling happy and aligned.
I'm an avid reader. I enjoy non-fiction and adore fiction and the insights and pleasures a well-written novel holds. Favourite authors include Isabel Allende, E.M. Forster, Jane Austen, Margaret Laurence, Michael Ondaatje, Thomas Moore, Pema Chödrön...
My work allows me to be creative and to explore and contribute to issues I care about. I volunteer for a great social cause. Cultivating relationships and sharing experiences are more important to me than acquiring things. I am left leaning and do my best to tread lightly and live consciously.
I love family, friendships, living simply, good conversation, theatre, movies, moments of silliness, noticing things (like the pattern bark makes on a tree and the way the sun shines before dusk), exploring off the beaten track, growing vegetables, growing in self awareness, opportunities to give, strawberry rhubarb pie.
I am caring, open and friendly, enjoy life, and am grateful for what I have. I would love to meet someone with a similar outlook who feels a significant connection to nature, is generous of spirit, has a sense of wonder and playfulness, and values kindness, respect, honesty, and humour.
