First Date
The possibilities are endless. A good first date would be to meet at a local coffee shop and just enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate like the ladies prefer, and a great conversation. If all goes well and we can go for a walk, and talk some more because, isn't that what a first date is for to get to know each other. Movies do not work, because you can't talk to each other and get to know who you both are. I am not a bar person, they are too loud and I feel its more of a meat market than a first date setting. I would prefer the first meeting at a public place so both parties are comfortable with other people around, that way there is no intimidation. If it is not going well, either one of us can get up and leave no questions asked, just a polite "see ya later, this isnt working, perhaps we can still be friends".
