I enjoy dogs, buffets, yoga, collecting and vintage arcade machines. To help offset all of the buffets, I run and exercise regularly.
Most of my movie watching is in my basement and generally I like science fiction and horror flicks best! Sometimes I'll watch something educational, historical or artsy-fartsy and then feel smart for a couple of days until I forget that I saw it. I've been working my way through "The West Wing" these days.
I started to learn to play keyboard (mostly songs about stars, bridges and lambs) but then I put it in a trash bag and stashed it behind an emergency supply of hurricane lamps, and haven't done much with it since then. However if you play the drums or something, I could get it back out.
Recently, I took apart my pipes and snaked them. And while I don't do that very often, I mention it here, because it was very cool getting out all of the black sludge, and I am very excited by the powerful water drainage that I now enjoy. Be assured that if we become good friends and you need to take a shower at my house, you will not have to do it in standing water! I also have a Scrubbing Bubbles battery operated thing that is delightful.
I have a professional job that keeps me out-of-trouble, debt free and not living with my parents. I've never been married and have no kids; though that's not really on purpose, it just hasn't happened yet. Kids are OK though!
Honesty is important, and I'm kind to friends and people in general. And while a lot of people say, "I'd like to meet my best friend" and don't actually mean it, I do want to connect with someone to share the things that we enjoy beyond just dating.
The perfect first date depends on the person -- but I'm pretty flexible. (And we don't have to go to a buffet!) When you meet someone, you want an opportunity to get to know each other without too many distractions.
